Wow, those are some impressive stats. Do you have any word on what he'll be doing next year? I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a Busch ride in about 2 or 3 years.

Kyle Busch will be back in the 99 truck next year. He will miss the first three races because of his age but will be in the truck as soon as he turns 18. If I'm correct Mark Martin will be driving the truck for the first three races for Busch.

One thing I think that needs to be remembered is that this kid didn't waste a whole lot of time running with the puppies. Our Legends stuff here draws easily a hundred cars a week against cars from all over the Western States Region with any number of top dog rental cars thrown in to the mix to boot.

Our Late Model stuff is competitive as all get out also. That 11 out of 16 record came against some of the best drivers on the West Coast including Southwest Tour Champs and the current leader in NCTS rookie points. The 04 car has gotten up for all of 2 wins in 16 starts so far this season. Beating the likes of old man Chuck Trickle might seem simple on paper but I don't think he has finished lower than 5th points around this neck of the woods.

Add to that the fact that the Orleans/Napa Chevy that Brendon drove while still here was easily the big buck entry with lots of racing history...Brendon and his Dad both drove with and for Walker Evans off road....and it gets a little more impressive.

Jacks got both the Buschie Boys right on schedule. Don't know if Kyle will run Busch or not. Like Jack said about why he ran Kurt straight to Cup....why teach em stuff they gotta unlearn later?

5 years in a racecar and he is has a truck ride next year. If I start now I could be there when I'm 21:D

i cant wait for him to join the big boys in WC, dude hes only a few months older than me and already shows more talent than some of the guys that have rides, i wish him the best and if a car owner is smart they will grab him right after his first season in trucks!!!

Kid has good equipment to back up his obvious talent. Best way to move up fast. Helps to have the Busch name too, whether or not he's better than his brother.

I think it would be interesting to see those two race head-to-head, just to see if they'd lean on eachother.

It might happen sooner than you think. I wouldn't be surprised some teams wanting him even if it is just for one race to see what this kid has against the "big boys". Maybe another two years I think.

Well, he was going to be in the Truck series, but the Craftsman truck series capped the age. I don't think it was a bad call either, kids might be impatient, but that doesn't mean they should be racing in these big series if they aren't even 18. Before you know it, it will become like gymnastics where you'll have 12 and 13 year olds competing.

Good point. I don't think he should be racing in NASCAR before 18 anyway, if not 21. There's too much pressure on them at such a young age from all aspects the team and the media just to name two.

Plus they are more likely to make a mistake that could end up taking themselves out or endangering other drivers. Sure, they've got the talent, but they need more experience in the smaller series to prepare for the bigger series.

Perzactly the reason Jack sent him to ASA in a used car. The kid learned more about taking what a car will give riding around mid-pack with the best short trackers on the planet in one year than he could in 5 in Busch or Trucks.

Man that ASA racing is great. I've only seen a few races but I am going to make sure to watch all of them next year.

I've been a fan of ASA for almost as long as I can remember. It was one of the last series to give up "run what ya brung". I think the longest track on it's circuit nowdays is a 3/4 miler.

Kyle learned early that if ya beat on the big kids, they beat back and if ya wanna finish well ya best be keeping it at least semi-clean unless ya got a car that can out-run the competition. And even if ya get away with today, there's always next week sonny.

The other thing is that with the glass bodies, if you blow out a front fender, you might as well scrap the whole front end and plan on finishing 10 laps down.

And just for spits and giggles, I sure would like to see a Cup driver even try to make one lap without a rear spoiler. Dern that final race was good.
