Live Up To The Hype?

i think this kid is gonna be good, but im not expecting him to win today, but if he does i wont be shocked, i wanna see him run well today, makes me jealous a kid the same age as me and he does that for a living :angry: how do you guys think he will do?
 
I think he will do pretty good, but It is his 1st Busch race...
 
He will surpass the hype. This kid was good ever since he started racing.
 
didnt get to see the race but damn, 2nd in his first race, this kid is good
 
Well he didn't win but 2nd is great. This kid is good. :cheers: He will be around a while.
 
Man i only saw him at the beginning of the race, he finished 2nd?!?!? WOW, move over JR. and Jeffy Boy!!!

I'm pretty sure Kyle will have a pretty nice career. But talent is just a part of the equation. Every driver who comes into Cup has potential, that is why they are there. Getting the right ride (Hendrick is a great place to start), injuries, not pissing anybody off (read Casey Atwood), and many other things have a lot to do with long term success.

Since the discussion was about how good Kyle is, we thought you meant he was going to be as good as Jeff and Jr. Sorry, our mistake. :cheers:
 
I don't think he will be as popular as Jr. But he could be as good as Jeff Gordon. We wont know that for a few years yet. :bounce: I just hope he don't use his bumper as much as Jef and his brother. :D
 
I think Kyle would be a great driver if he could only get away from Cartman and the other South Park kids.
 
Rolf @Bumpdrafting....in all seriousness this kid has a great career ahead of him....i think he will be better than his brother. It will be intersting to see the 2 race against each other, i sense some negative vibes towards Kile from his brother. I think maybe Kurt is somewhat jealous of all the hype Kile is getting, lets hope this makes Kurt an even better racer!
 
He did a great job yesterday and deserves credit for it.
but one race doesn't indicate how his whole career will go.
I will wait until he runs a full year in the busch series before making any decision about it.
 
So far so good. Give him some more experience in Busch and move him up to Cup in a year or two and than see if he's got what it takes to run with the big boys. :)
 
Actually, I was quite impressed with him when he drove the Craftsman trucks before they imposed the age limit. He was more than competetive and came close to winning a couple. He won't need much seasoning.
