Wally-winning drag racer Paige Caprio rides the line of student, entrepreneur and racer

The deafening sound of dozens of revving engines nearly drowns out the noise of the announcer calling up the next racers. Interdisciplinary studies senior Paige Caprio is on the roster. She pulls up to the starting line in her Chevrolet S-10, focused and waiting for the green light.
“You feel your heart start to beat,” she said. “You’re hoping that everything falls into place for you, and you hope that you have everything you need to beat that person you’re racing.”
