Nascar driver Scott Wimmer was picked up for driving under the influence after crashing his truck. Wimmer had a blood alcohol level nealry twice the legal limit in North Carolina. Wimmer was driving when he hit a rock, the car flipped over and he crashed into a road sign. That’s bad. If you are so wasted that you can’t avoid giant rocks in the road, you probably shouldn’t be behind the wheel. They also tacked on a hit and run charge after they found the vehicle, missing three tires, but no driver.

They eventually found Wimmer at his house hiding behind the bed. Well at least he took it like a man. At least he stood up and took responsibility for his mistakes. He ran and hid behind his bed? What are you, in the 2nd grade? Did you just break the cookie jar and went and hid under your sheets? How old are you, 4? This would be hysterical if it weren’t so incredibly pathetic. And you have to like Nascar slowly starting to close the gap on other major sports. For a while they were having a hard time keeping up with the other sports for crimes and stupidity, but they are closing fast.

Bf Jimmy Spencer got off some nice racism last week, and now this clown is hiding under his bead after getting a dui. If we could get a double homicide from someone, or a wife beater or 10, this would be just like the other majors. Keep up the good work Nascar. A few more guys like Scott Wimmer and you are going to be just like everyone else. Well done.

Rome is hilarious, i wish I could still get the radio show here in BG.

Rome's a knob. For him to imply that Wimmer is still in second grade is like the pot calling the kettle black.

If any of you listen to 'Bob & Tom', they have a bit on Rome on their latest CD, the guy does a perfect impersonation of Rome, now that's hilarious...

"I just got a huge fax...your not gonna believe this...this is a great fax...one of the greatest faxes I've ever seen...wait while I pause for 4 seconds, setting a record on the Premiere Radio Network.............and I'm back...that was a great pause...I am in studio right now...I just got a huge fax...your not gonna believe this...this huge fax that just came in...T-Rodg handed it to me just seconds ago...hold on while I read it..."

Rome is da man, sometimes he makes some comments I don't like but I still think he is funny, I'm proud to be a clone, my brother went to the tour stop when it came to KC and I wish I could of went cause he said it was incredible.

I suppose that some of you are too young to remember when he was still on ESPN TV? He had Jim Everett (LA Rams QB) on his show once & kept calling him Chris Everett (the female tennis star). Jim E. asked him to stop it several times & Rome just kept calling him Chris. Finally Jim E. had enough & said to Rome, "if you call me that one more time, I'm going to kick your a$$". Rome did again & Jim E. jumped over the table & threw Rome to the ground and I'm sure Rome pressed charges too. Provoking a fight, real mature Rome!

Judd Nelson had a late night talk show for a short while & had Jim Rome on as a guest. You guys that like Rome, should have heard the way he ripped on NASCAR and his fans. He said the fans are a bunch of inbreeds that sit on top of their motor homes, drinking beer on a Saturday afternoon, watching these guys making right turns and going in circles. If your're going to be that critical of something, have all your facts in order so you don't look like a doofus.

Like I said, there are somethings he says I don't agree with and rome did poke alot of fun at NASCAR, he has a pretty screwed up take on bowling too, but I stll like his show. Rome is starting to come around about NASCAR, He still makes a stupid comment once and a while but it's not as bad as it was.

I like Jim Rome just as much as I like Craig Kilborn.

Can't stand either of them.

Hey what's wrong with bowling? I'm sure Rome has never touched a bowling ball. You would be suprise how hard it is to rise to the top level of bowling and the prize money is not that great. I had a great streach of bowling last year and was able to win $10,000 for throwing a 300 game.

Rome is alright. You only have to listen to him once a week because he repeats himself so much.

And that is not Fishwrap!

Rome oft repeated take on bowling is that "Bowling is not a sport. Anything you get better at the more you drink is not a sport".

Hilarious, but not accurate. I used to bowl quite a bit years ago. I drank quite a bit on my Thursday night league with my co-workers and my average was only like 168. On Friday nights (at the same bowling alley!) my average was 182 for the same season.

I think anybody who takes Rome seriously is asking for trouble. He is very entertaining at times. He has had me laughing so hard at times I almost had to pull over to keep from wrecking my car. Other times he is just obnoxious, mean-spirited and anti-funny. I click him on once every few weeks and if I like it, I listen. If I don't, I turn it off. No big deal either way. ^_^

Yep, Rome is the man! It's too bad Kornheiser is leaving his radio show, him and Rome back to back were the best!

You guys ever listen to JT the Brick? He's a late night guy on FoxSports. He's on from 10:00pm - 2:00am EST. I think he actually got his show starting after winning Rome's smack-down. Very opinionated guy and he actually likes NASCAR! He is just getting into it, but is doing 2 weeks of his show from Daytona. I can't think of any other sports talk guys that will even discuss NASCAR, let alone do their show at an event. We need to take over his show this week and give him some support. He's a great guy and LOVES to take calls!
