I couldn't help but laugh at all the people on Twitter who thought yesterday's replay was live. Even some of the drivers were poking fun at those people by joking that Jimmie Johnson had already won the "first" race.

Confession: I was at work yesterday. During my break, I saw "the race" on TV.

50 to go: Kenseth's blew up from the lead? Damn, just like last year. Bless his heart.
48 to go: Now Kyle Bu...wait a second....

So I was one of those people, but only for about 5 minutes.

Big green ticker across the bottom of the screen. Huge tip off.

My wife, when I switched back over to Fox around 8:30 exclaims, "I already know who won." :XXROFL:

I took a little nap and when I woke up I thought the race was back on. But then they said something about Juan Pablo

Here's the Fox screwup

Anyone who had ANY idea what was going on should have caught that fact right away. Different drivers/sponsors/numbers don't give it away? Just a bunch of super casual fans, but when FOX News fell for it as well shows how lame they are.

Local (Chicago) sports talk radio were making fun of NASCAR fans for thinking the replay was this year's race. I think it was mostly casual viewers. Also, lots of noise about Daytona being "cursed" because of the recent notable occurrences (JPM, pothole bondo, etc.). Pretty funny.
