Bunny and Curtis Turner Jr. stopped by long enough for a picture or two. Here's the first car finished for the new long wheelbase oval track car series planned for next season. It's a two door hardtop Crown Victoria..........what's that you say? There are no two door Crown Vics. Sure there are. They build them on the same line that they build the rear wheel drive V-8 engined Taurus.

Hey redrock, thanks for noticing the job I did on converting a four door police car model into a full blown two door hardtop race car. Oh, but you did the more difficult thing. being able to tell that a sunshine picture of a car and a flash picture of the people had been chopped. Good eye.

What I noticed the most was that the woman's side is not visible through the windshield and the car is still floating on top of the stones...can you do this stuff with the Nascar photos and make it look like Larry Foyt won Daytona? :p

redrock, in case you don't know, LUKE builds the models and paints them to match historical cars.

Keep up the good work, LUKE. I love seeing the old ones.

Thanks TexasRaceLady, I wonder how I got the car to "float" on the stones when the only thing I added to the original photo was the people. I'll give you the "clothes'' deal though.

I'd like to introduce some of the members of this board to something they have obviously never noticed, that being whimsy and satire.

Is whimsy the one of the left or the one on the right?

That would be me and I'm the one in the middle. And BTW Johnny Cash said to tell you that, "the one on the right is on the left and one in the middle is on the right and the on the left is in the middle and the guy in the rear.......was a Methodist." LOL

I actually have that song on vinyl somewhere.

I guess we'll have to explain what vinyls is now.

Is it the LP (oops, something else to have to explain LOL) with all the funny songs on it like "Dirty Ol' Egg Suckin' Dog" and "I'm Being Eaten By A Boa Constrictor"? I've still got that one and it is a major hoot.

That's the one. Now i'll have to go digging through the closet and pull it out. First time I had it was on a 8-track.
