Im looking for a hotel in Nashville, TN for Jan 3, 2007. just need a room for one night and will head back to KY on the 4th. We are going to Zanies comedy club to see Tim Wilson and thats on 8th Ave South. and would like to find something close to downtown. We are wanting to go to Cyote ugly after the show, but i really dont want to pay 10 bucks for parking, so would like to find a room with in walking distance. dont really want to spend over 65 bucks on a room....yeah i know im more then likly sol on that.

Thanks

Down town and $65 a night? Good luck in a decent place that wont give you bugs...

found one with in a mile of downtown that is around 60 with tax. Its a nice place. its the Days Inn Downtown/Stadium.

ok i thought it was nice, but then i did some more research...

Lappy, i lived in nashville for 5 years and visit there a couple of times a year. trust me if your gettin a room for 60 a night near downtown it is going to be a dump. be careful out late at night and what ever you do try to stay on the town side of the river

1st let me preface everything by I know jack about Nashville. It's been 30 years since I visited.
But, where you're planning on staying and the location of Coyote Ugly is just over a mile. You will have to cross the river near the Coliseum. Most coliseum areas are iffy at best and if you're going to Ugly you're going to be there real real late. Zanies is over 4 miles away. I'd have to come off the hip and pay for parking or better yet call a cab.
If this were daytime jaunts my advice would be different. Daytime strolls thru cities can be a lot of fun, but not only are you on the other side of the river but also the other side of the train tracks. Be safe.

Just thinking, not got anything yet. I don't get down to Nashville very often. I live like 2 hrs from there, but really dont want to drive home after the show, would rather hang out down there and drive home the next day. I found a place close to zanies, but that is like 20$ more. Still got a few days to deside.

But yeah, i won't be walking around there at night.

What about near Oprymills (Opryland)?

Mom told me i could call a cab, thats what they did when they went to zanies, but also told me not to show that im from out of town so they wont drive out of the way to get to were we are going.

Oh, I missed the "we" part. Look for a hotel that provides shuttle service to different areas. It would cost a little more but sometimes when we are trying to impress a little out of pocket now could lead to buying them a house later.
Of course, if you got my luck you'll end up buying several but that's another story for another time when the kiddies have all gone to bed...

lol, cant get nothing past ya'll! It's me and my g/f. We have been togather for about a month and 1/2. Know each orther for just over 2 months....not long, but ya got to start some wheres. :)

I got a room off I-65. Kind of out of the way, but it works.

Yep!

And they do come with one big-ass bed if you want that too! :D

I've stayed in motels about 130 night this year and 199 last year. I usually opt for the king size bed but sometimes go with the two beds as that one bed comes in handy to lay out your clothes or paper work on.

Lappy, I'm going to be in Nashville the following week after you. Downtown at the Gaylord center. Bringing two cars to the Sound and Speed event there on the 12th and 13th. I got the notice a little late so now I am hunting for a room nearby as the Hilton is already booked.
