Thats sad the tire issue already ruined the race at Indy and now it might ruin Talledaga, thats usually one of my faviorate races of the year they better not do the 10 laps then caustion trick like at Indy. If that happends they better look into another tire company.
many teams had 25+ laps today, as TRL said. I think Jr's got cut.

Fixed that for ya. Don't really like it when someone says something like ya did bud, its not a FACT someone will get killed, just a CHANCE, but thats everyweek.

How many tire failures did goodyear have in cup practice? I have not been able to keep up with practice.
Is anyone complaning about the tires?
Bucky, as far as I know, Dale had the only blow-out.

When the right rear blew on that ARCA it took off half the rear! I normally don't follow ARCA but know they run Hoosiers.
Have to wonder what's up with all the tire problems, ala Indy, this year.

Unless something shows up different tomorrow, they say Jr ran over something which caused his tire to blow, so it doesn't mean it's going to be a repeat of the ARCA race with tires. And yes, it's Hoosiers on ARCA and Goodyear on Cup.

They sure had several in the cup race though didn't they....
They said reuti's was 100% cut, and mike ford confirmed that the right rear they pulled from hamlin's car the run before the accident was actually cut.

And if you listened to many people they gave plenty of explanations what may be happening....probably mostly cuts from debris on the track or the tolerances are so close on the cars, parts may cut them down. Mabey excessive camber or pressure. NOT one team complained about the tires.
I think it's a combination. The debris, hotter track, close racing, close fenders, bump drafting, all added up.

The reason for the many tire failures today is irrelevant. Goodyear was contracted by NA$CAR to provide a safe, competitive racing tire. Many times this season Goodyear has failed to do so.

It's not Goodyear this time. It's them AND Hoosier, or it's the track and the cars.

I'ts been reported that this was the same tire that was used at Talladega in the spring. No failures then, what's different?

could be adjustments on the car..... The amount of bump drafting we was yeaterday was amazing...mabey that put more stress on the tires. Wheel wells so so close to the tires, that they cut them down?

How did the France family and Nascar get so powerful that they are able to squelch the media on this. Fortunately we have our very own reporter who I'm sure will come forth as soon as he's thru tallying up the broken and twisted bodies to give us a full report...

you guys are crazy. Goodyear was asked during the race if high air pressures was to blame and they said NO they could not find any evidence of high air pressures.
