I'm just hoping Lott doesn't quit the senate altogether. If that happens and Miss. gov names a dem, the split would be 50/50 and then the dems would go after Linc Chaffee of RI to switch.
At least we're safe from the dems at this time! I gotta tell ya that those guys on the hill are beginning to piss me off. They are nothing but a bunch of boys and girls in a club and all they want to do is run the place. Forget about the people of the country. They only want to split everyone up anyway so the people don't have the power.
It's a shame that the media can exert so much pressure that someone would have to step down from a position such as Majority Leader. I still think the whole issue was blown way out of porportion about the racist side......but, politics being what politics is, he had to leave so that his party stood a chance to get any legislation through the Senate. Political correctness strikes again.
DEW, that's what the country is today. Even last night on Survivor, the black man had to make an issue of race when it was obvious there wasn't anything to it, and then to call the guy a racist redneck southerner. I bet the network just loved that. And that was all done prior to Lott's big mouth.
Yeah. It's ok to call someone an ignorant redneck from Louisianna..........but, not ok for anyone to use any degrading word about a minority. And, the whole thing was something one of the other contestants (Helen, I believe) told him........he went off on Clay from hearsay!! Amazing.
Don't get me going on Mark Furman (or Fuhrman or however you spell his last name). That little bit of PC lead to a murder being aquitted........but "justice was served". Yeah, right.
I forgot to mention.........Clay was blindsided by Ted's statement too. That would tend to make an intelligent response on live TV more than just a little difficult for the average person.
Hey, lot's of those people got blindsided. How about Ghandia telling everyone that Ted was almost doing her and that was after they had talked and he had appologized. I think she wanted to try and get him out of there. I loved the way the blindsided Helen there at the end. The game is cut throat so anything goes. So, would you like to go on one of those shows? One of the guys at work says that he and I should try to make the Amazing Race show. I said that I would, but that when we got to Cancun, I would stay!
That would make sense since Chafee is not a conservative by any nature. Seems that the northeast has a lot of liberal Republicans. Then again, seems the south has a lot of conservative Democrats.
