Jeff Gordon just had to pit with about 65 laps to go. This puts him way, way back in the pack. He has certainly had the best car out there today. Can he make it back to the front?

I think so, I'm just not sure how. But I just can't wait to see how he does it. ;)

I think Dale Jr. could be the darkhorse, again. I think he can make it all the way on fuel and so can Kevin Harvick. We're goin to have a shootout

I'm hoping Jeff can make back up front, but a top 10 would be good. It looks like it might be Johnsons race to win.

Now Jeff is having some serious problems with the car and fears "something may be broken". I am getting so that I hate when Jeff has a dominant car at the beginning of a race. He seems to do better in points when he has an average car and pulls out a top 15 finish at the end.

Good job Jimmie Johnson. :D
To bad Jeff wasn't up there going for the win.

Good job Jimmie! :salute:

That really sucks for Jeff Gordon. To have the best car out there, lead the most laps and lose a ton of points due to fuel mileage and pit strategy.

:bounce: :bounce: Way to go Steve!!!!!!! From 34th to 8th!!!!!!!! Steve and his team are starting to gel, and they're finally figuring out you have to risks like today to get good finishes.

Here are the Unofficial results for the top 25.

I haven't been this ticked off after a race in a long time. I'm getting off of here. Griping isn't going to make me feel better. See y'all later. ;)

I agree that the race was not great. Was there anyone who really thought thatanyone had anything for Jimmie in the last 40 laps? Everybody behind him was saving fuel not trying to win. Plus NBC's franctic effort to convince us that fuel strategy makes for a great race was irritating(in between commercial breaks), but something was also wrong with both Gordon and Stewart's cars.

Gordon restarted around 24th with Bobby Labonte. Labonte worked his way up to 14th at the end, but Gordon just couldn't go at all. Something went wrong somewhere in the car or with the tires they put on.

Well, the 24 team needs to learn that the tires never give up! Until they go back to the softer tire, which made racing better, they will continue to get bit by having that old mentality about tires. Old tires are only 1/10th of a lap slower than new ones, so that means it takes 10 laps to make up 1 second and with the extra 7-10 seconds on the pit stop, it takes about 70 laps to get back to where you should have been with 2 or no tires.

Congrats to J.J. on the win.

Way to go Jimmie and the number 48 team!

Too bad Ryan didn't pit and get more fuel, I honestly think he would've won that thing if he did!
