I was readying Jayski and my DTV box. They say the same thing. It's at 10pm on speed? What's up with that?

Barrett-Jackson takes precedence on SPEED.
I like watching that auction. I'd love to be in a position to bid on one of those rides.

You have to look down a little further for the tv listings. That was the schedule of events. Also from Jayski.

Qualifying: 2 laps for positions 1-42, Friday, September 21 at 3:40 pm/et, TV-SPEED, NOT LIVE same day delay at 10:00pm/et.

I wish we could get Nationwide out here in Ozz
We see about 15 minutes of hi lites & 45 minutes of ads.

Did I miss something or should that be 43?

Do the broadcast the Nationwide race on nascar.com? I thought at one time that they did that race buddy thing for it or something?

No luck at all receiving it live and the Nascar .com is replayed on tv midweek.
Unless I'm missing something ,that's all we get.

Sorry to hear that. We're spoiled here in the states. Heck, not only to we get a chance to watch all of the races, we complain about each of them too. ;)

I keep being reminded on this board that apparently I am not supposed to like this sport. Especially in the rate the race threads. It seems most view race time as nap time or simply time to complain. I don't really get it.

 Well said . Perhaps if these folks has to watch with ozz ,they would appreciate the racing.

Qualifying - 3:40 p.m. ET Friday
This is from nascar .com

I've got raceview so I get real time qualifying. They have been screwing up the listings a lot lately.

Don't they reserve 43rd for Past Champs Prov? So he really doesn't have to qualify on speed.

I wasn't sure about how that works so I asked if I missed something. That makes sense so thanks for clarifying.

Yes. Cup practice 12-1:30 on Speed. Qual tape-delayed 10pm Speed.@esobotik: is NASCAR practice televised anywhere today

Isn't Loudon Quals usually tape delayed anyhow??? They did it last year didn't they?

Real-time qualifying is available for free on nascar.com. You just have the more enhanced version that you pay for. I used to too. It is pretty cool. I only pay for the scanner feeds now.

I sure hope Paul Wolfe is hiding some speed, because Brad is looking like a 20th place starter right now.

Guess I'll stay up and watch q'ing. What happened to Denny Hamlin? Gordon goes out and sets fast time, Denny goes out and winds up 32nd?

did he really? I hope he didn't run out of gas again. ;) I listened for a little while, but it was mostly interviews, etc.

Denny's guarantee to win sure is off to a bad start.

Per @WendyVenturini, Denny Hamlin's team put tire pressures at race settings instead of qualifying settings for his qual run. Ouch.

Wow. That isn't going to help Denny's confidence.

Q) What happened during your qualifying lap?
Hamlin: "I knew something was wrong. It looked like we just -- we ended up having race pressures and we didn't put our qualifying pressures in, so that was a tough one. I knew something was really, really wrong because we were just -- the car was bobbing down real bad -- but simple mistake. We'll rebound from it. We're quick enough. We'll get them, but that's frustrating. Holy cow -- I knew something had to be wrong. If there was nothing wrong than I would really be shaking my head. At least we identified what the problem was."

Denny Hamlin@dennyhamlin
Mistakes happen.. As soon as we execute we will perform. Good news is it looks like we can run a 28.9 in race trim lol

I'm happy he's keeping his head. You can pass at Loudon, so it doesn't matter as much where you start.

Only 8 races won from outside a top-20 starting position @ Loudon. He's definitely got some work ahead of him.

True, but guys like Denny and JJ, who starts 20th, can burn right to the top 15 in their first run. There is that pesky win guarantee that could get him messed up. If he has the car, 32nd won't be a problem for Denny. Hot air and gas, on the other hand.....
