Hey Guys,

I really love Nascar.... There was a time when the NFL was number one with me. I still enjoy the NFL and college football..... and a few other sports, but my passion is Nascar. There is no Cup race this weekend..... and that is so depressing.......:( :( :(

But here's my problem..... I joined this group just a short time ago... and enjoy reading the posts of other Nascar fans... but there is simply NOT enough. I'm addicted to Nascar........ How can we get more folks into this forum.

Hoping I don't get too many flames......

Jason:) :) :) :)

There IS a Busch race in Mexico this weekend and about 9 Cup drivers are expected to show up!

Jason, I know of several places that are more active, but most of the posters seem to take delight in calling each other names, and putting down each other's posts. I think you'll find that sites that have posters who really know racing and discuss it rationally will be small and relatively quiet.

Also, most of the big sites are on the McAfee SiteAdvisor as having connections with spyware downloads. I don't go to those places simply because I like to keep my computer as clean as possible.

Not only free of spyware, but free of the garbage some of those places put out as "discussion."

I wonder why Robby Gordon isn't racing in Mexico City? Does anyone know (without making any smart ass remarks)? He was there the past two years.

This is by far the best place to talk Nascar...BY FAR! Yeh i read that too about Robby, is Montoya racing in Mexico ?

I also understand that Mexico is one of the costliest for the teams to race. When both the Busch and Cup are at the same venue you will usually see more Cup drivers in the Busch race.

A little off-topic. Dale Jarrett's daughter Karsyn is a pretty good basketball player on the Hickory High School team. The team is undefeated and has a record of 30 - 0. So, his mind may be elsewhere when he is trying to qualify the Toyota. :)

I used to be a part of some of those boards, but stopped reading and posting. All they wanted to do is call each other names, talk about how certain drivers are gay, how NASCAR lets certain teams/drivers to get away with everything, and talk about how the races are fixed. I had enough.
