Being politically correct in a sarcastic way. :)

From That's Racin: http://www.thatsracin.com/topstories/story/15644.html

Tony Stewart finished fifth Sunday and then indicated he had paid attention during a meeting for drivers and car owners that NASCAR called on Friday.

"Ask Mike Helton. I don't know what we're allowed to say and what we're not," Stewart said.

Helton, NASCAR's president, admonished drivers in Friday's meeting to be more "fan friendly."

"I'm just thankful we're allowed to be here and be a part of this," Stewart said, apparently mirroring what Helton said.

"It's just a privilege for us to be here and, according to Friday, we've all got it a lot better than a lot of us think.

"We're not allowed to have opinions now. We've all got it made here. We've all got it great.

"At least that is what we've all been told."

Do you sort of get the feeling that Tony will be moving on from JGR with Logano having such a bright future?

I'm also surprised that Earnhardt's passing the pace car twice in order to pick up speed and shut off the engine hasn't generated any discussion here. Seems like being warned after he did it twice was not strong enough a reprimand for some drivers who felt he got off easy.

I don't think his comments have anything to do with him staying or leaving Gibbs.

Even the look

on his face said what he thought of being told how LUCKEY he is to be a NASCAR driver!! I'm with him, He should be able to speak his mind about ANY subject he wants to talk about.

Betsy:rolleyes:

Nascar needs to pull their head out of their asses.......they are not what makes this sport so great.....its the teams and drivers that do.

not good when the sanction thinks the drivers need it more than it needs the drivers.

I bet there are more than one driver from the prelude that wouldnt mind ditching nascar to go learn to run dirt full time lol

That's what satelite radio is for.

Whatever happened to letting the drivers "be themselves." Oh yeah, that's only when they don't criticize NASCRAP and their piece of crap car. If they think it's only the drivers who are unhappy with the racing with this car, maybe they ought to take a poll of the fans who are bored as hell watching this tank.

I thought a lot of the races have been good.

The COT is boring on, well, boring racetracks.

Ya can always count on Tony for a sound byte.......lol

I believe I'd a paid a buck to see Heltons face while Tony was saying it, that would have been a good one. LOL Duane

Agreed. The COT, just like their ability to come up with a good set up, is either on and exciting at the tracks that are traditionally exciting. But at tracks that the old car generally struggled to give us an exciting race the COT is much worse.
Regardless of what Mikey says...
