Their first night of a two night swing through Virginia, the Lucas Oil Late Model Series stopped at Winchester Speedway, a high banked 3/8 mile bull ring in the mountains of Northern Virginia. With beautiful blue skies and near perfect temperatures, the huge crowd was thrilled with superb action all night long. An extremely fast and extremely racey track saw a new track record, and unbelievable three wide racing all night long. 44 late models signed in, with Jonathan Davenport taking home the big prize from the Gunter's Honey 50.
On the second night of a two-stop visit in the state of Virginia, Lucas Oil Late Models would stop at Virginia Motor Speedway for the 31st annual "USA 100." With $15,000 to the winner, and the unique format of two 25 lap qualifyers for the 50 lap feature, the crowd on hand was treated to amazing racing from start to finish, as well as a new track record.
This year joined by the AMRA modifieds for a $2500 to win feature race dubbed as the "USA 30," the 1/2 mile speed plant in Jamaica, Virginia added another fantastic event to its history
