Mailman hurt crossing the street

Wednesday, my former roommate and fellow letter carrier when I lived in Iowa, was hit while crossing the street on his route. Greg was taken to the hospital in Davenport, Iowa and later transfered to the University of Iowa Hospitals where he is in serious condition. The Davenport post master said that Greg's condition is life threatening. Please keep Greg in your prayers. Greg was a great friend of mine and a very good carrier. What happened to him is something that all of us carriers worry about from time to time.
 
Had a great surprise today for my old friend. Greg has been moved back to Davenport, Iowa from the University of Iowa Hospitals. Greg is responding quite well with all the injuries he got. He was surprise to hear my voice and I could tell that it cheered him up. He said that when he gets out of the hospital that he is oging to call me on my route. Greg has brain damage and that will take a long time to heal. He talks a bit slow, but no overly slow. He just sounded very tired and we only talked for about five minutes. Keep the prayers coming for my friend and his family. Thanks
