I'm a lifelong baseball fan. Been a Texas Ranger fan through thick and (mostly) thin. But if they strike, I am done with any active interest in the sport. I'll check the standings about once a month, and watch the occasional game out of pure love of the sport, but no longer will I call myself a baseball fan.

We'll watch a Red Sox game every now and then, sometimes even take a trip out to Fenway for a game. But we're not nearly as into as much as we were at one point.

I still watch some, but they have definitely sucked most of the life out of it for me.

If they Strike I'm done with baseball, I didn't watch that much after the last strike except for a few Twins game I watch every once in a while, but if those money grubbing babies strike again there done for with me and I think a lot of casual fans, it will be a huge blow to baseball.

i dont give a damn. i dont care for baseball. and i was pissed when i had to weight for the Pepsi 400. baseball sucks

I quit watching when Keith Hernandez retired. :bawling:

I only ever watch playoff games now, and then only if the Yankees or Mets are in 'em.

I'll probably watch even less if they go on strike. It just doesn't sit right with me.

I can't remember how far back it was when I gave up on their antics, and when I occassionally catch a glimpse of something from a sports cast it just renews my distaste for a bunch of grown men, playing a kid's sport, for a king's ransom. That goes for them other Team Sports too......foowie......blah.

Ain't the U.S.A. great??????

Never was a fan of the most boring sport on earth, never will be.

Baseball's ok by me. Just got back from an O's game (kicked Seattle's be-hind by the way). Very good time! Nice and tan now!

Not happy if they stirke though, major blow to the sport. (read Ricky Rudd retirement fund).

I almost grew up at Fenway Park, when the Sox were away, the Braves would play (before they broke my heart and moved to Milwakee).

After the last strike, my interest waned till I moved to Atlanta in '94 but has now waned again.

And if the fools do strike, only world series and playoffs if the Braves or Sox are there.

Wierd isn't it that now even single A makes more than the average American.

base-ball?? is that the sport where they do stuff besides race??, i think i may have heard of it?..:)

I'm a huge baseball fan and always have been. After the last strike it took me a couple of years to get back into it full time. If they pull that crap again then it'll probably take me longer to get back into it. So I can only imagine what the casual fan would think if they strike again. Baseball will be done in if they don't resolve their issues.

It's quite obvious that they need a salary cap and some form of revenue sharing would be the best way to go about it. It pisses me off every year to see the Yankees buy the best players off of average teams just so they can make a run at yet another World Series. It's not fair that one team can stay head and shoulders above the rest year in and year out. They need parity kinda like what is in the NFL.

I will say if they do strike,it will be good for Minor league ball, and Nascar.TV ratings for both will have a record setting figures.;)
