OK, not NASCAR, just wanted to see if you can make the connection to NASCAR in this picture

OK, the first guy was right, the rest turned into smartasses. :D:dunce:

John Bickford built race cars in California before he moved his young stepson, Jeff Gordon out to the Midwest where he could race.

Somewhat on-topic.. I've never found real answers to where Jeff Gordon's biological father is and what their relationship is like. Anyone have a clue?

That's a good question. Never heard anything about him.

Sometimes the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree . I seem to recall ( could be my meds) that singer Tim Mcgraw was a pretty fair ballplayer before ever finding out that his birth father was Tug Mcgraw ....I'm thinkin Earnhardt .

Somewhat on-topic...I'm watching the '04 Samsung 500 at Texas right now and the FOX crew mentioned that Kasey Kahne got his big break when John Bickford introduced him to Ray Evernham at Volusia County Speedway during Speedweeks 2000.

How about that ****!?

He must still be building racecars.. Atleast up until the last decade or so.

As far as I know Jeff has kept that particular subject out of the media. No point in airing out dirty laundry

Interesting stuff. I wonder what Jeff would have done for a living if Bickford hadn't come into his life.
