Just a guess here, but probably the guy had been cheating on her, so she made sure it wouldn't happen again. Not saying what she did is right by any means, but the scorn of a woman can be quite scarry.

what she did was cruel.if she was smart she could've destroyed him financially.as of yet there's no law about taking out as many credit cards and maxing em out in hubby's name.a ding in his credit plus a bankruptcy would make him think again. this happened to a friend of mine.
