That place has too be one of the best short tracks that ARCA has been to. Iowa is the best but Mansfield needs too become a staple on the ARCA series. ARCA needs to move past Salem. That place is a dump and is not likely too change. As I said in other threads ARCA will go to Salem as long as they have a sponsored race and they have two long time sponsors.
It is a shame that the ARCA race is the only date this place has this season. First class facility from the suites to the parking. If the current owners can't get the job done then sell it. All they need is the right ownership and promoters in place. Other than that it needs nothing.
Good turnout but not a sellout and that can be blamed on the lack of promotion by ARCA and the track itself. Plenty of asphalt fans in that area considering that there is a big dirt racing draw in that NE Ohio and West PA. I saw more than a few out of state plates in the general parking area a few hours before the race.
