manufacturer conflicts

Word is that Jeff Green is going to drive the Marines car since Hamilton Jr was released. Hamilton Jr. has also moonlighted in the Finch Dodge in Cup this year. How is it that Green can drive a Dodge in Cup and a Ford in Busch and vice-versa for HJ? I thought that sort of thing was frowned upon by the manufacturers? Remember when Bill Davis was talking to Toyota about the truck series and Dodge pitching a fit over it and pulling some funding (even though it was a different series).

Just curious, anybody have any thoughts on this?

Somewhat like Biffle driving a Chevy in the Busch series a couple of seasons ago. Ford was not happy.

Ken Schrader runs Chevys in everything he owns. Jimmy Spencer always ran Chevys in his Busch team that he owns even while he drove fords in Cup.

I think it depends on how the contract is written as to whether or not any driver can drive another make either in the same series or another series. Some drivers have better contracts than others.
