For those who are not familiar with the MG TD, it was a small British sport car manufactured in the early 1950's. It had room for two people.
I had an MG TD. It was used for hill climbs, time trials, road rallys and practice on fixing Lucas electrics. There was one other major problem with this particular car, t the driver seat would not adjust, ergo, for a short guy like me, it became necessary to fold an old Army blanket and place it behind my back as a makeshift adjustment.
There was a special girl in my life during this time and one evening, after a movie, we went to Cedar Swamp, a sort of lovers lane. After parking the MG, we began some serious necking, which became quite steamy and intense.
It wasn't long and the young lady jumped from the MG, grabbed the old Army blanket from behind my back and spread the blanket out under a cedar tree. She then proceeded to remove her clothes until she was stark naked, sitting in the moonlight with a "come hither" look on her face.
Throughout all this, I continued to sit in the MG.
Finally, in a very exasperated tone of voice, she said to me, "If you don't get out of the car, I'm going to get out of the mood for love".
I gave her a weak and sheepish grin and replied, "If I don't get out of the mood for love, I can't get out of the car".
