G'day fellow motorsport fans,

as my name indicates, I am an Australian and so is one of the 2006 Truck series Nascar racers. Marcos Ambrose has been signed to Wood Bros. racing after finishing his contract with Australian Ford racing team: Stone Bros. Racing. The series which Ambrose raced in is the top racing category in Australia at the moment and is becoming known Internationally as well. Racing at tracks around Australia, New Zealand with one race at Shanghai and Dubai each year. The championship consists of only Ford and Holden (GM) V8 sedans. Marcos Ambrose has won 2 championships in a row and has decided to step up to America's top category.

Just interested to hear if there has been much news of his arrival or whether anyone knew of him joining the category.

I have not heard Marcos's name mentioned. But to be fair, I have heard very little about the truck series this year. However that should change any time now. Things are picking up in Daytona. I'll make it a point to watch for him.
 
G'day Aussie. I've got a friend who also is an Aussie and an avid Ford fan and I'm following the travails of Ambrose for him. When I say he's an avid Ford fan, let's just say that he wouldn't even spit on a Holden because it would be a waste of good spit! :)

I'm not all that sure where Brisbane is without looking at the map, but my friend is from Urunga, NSW. Welcome aboard.

Brisbane is North of NSW. The Indy cars race not far from here at Surfers Paradise.
