Marlin got a raw deal from Ginn

The writer of the article is way off base and obviously a Sterling Marlin fan. She should take a realistic look at her view.

As classy as a person as is Sterling Marlin is, he is at the twilight of his career. Amy Hair commented Sterling shakes hands with strangers and signs autographs. That is part of his job. A job he had been well rewarded for over his thirty years in NASCARs premiere series.

If Sterling had been a driver for Ginn Racing for the thirty years of his career, there might be a modicum of sympathy here, but just like real life, every drivers position with a race team, regardless of time employed is a balancing act and can change daily. Most recent example, Kyle Busch.

Unfortunate, yes. Undeserved, perhaps. But it should never be unexpected in this business.

If you would have said that last year, I might agree because the performance of that team left a lot to be desired, but looking at what Mark Martin can do part time with the Ginn cars as Marlin & Nemecheck struggle in the basment has only sealed their fate. I'm a big Nemecheck fan and willing to say that, in a performance driven industry, his performance (as well as Marlin's) is lacking. Marlin hasn't had a good year in five and Nemecheck has struggled his entire cup career. Its time to #$#% or get off the pot.

Racing isn't an older mans sport anymore, unless you are FAST and GOOD
