Johnson goes 4 for 6, and the TV ratings drop another 3 percent.
I don't see Hamlin doing much better than a top 10 with the way he's been running.

I would like to see someone take Johnson out just to be a jerk. Get some excitement going in nascar. Every week someone different takes out JJ for no reason.

Here here:beerbang:!

Never thought of that angle, but I like your thinking Chromie! We need some hired guns, pay the start and parks a huge wage to cover their expenses and fines to run Jimmah into the fence. Maybe during the warmup up laps.

Actually, I was thinking just the opposite. JJ oughta start taking people out. For the last few las that I saw, I was kinda hping he would spin Stewart out or something, just to bring some excitment.

What would REALLY break the ice, is one of his 3 team mates taking him out for the win, and then of instead of apologizing, just chalking it up to short track racing in victory lane. Jeff needs to do that.

Remember the Jimmie/Jeff show at Martinsville in 07 when Jeff wouldn't really move JJ and he was really ticked off about it afterward since he had the better car? Well, I sent him a super duper special note that if he gets in his way this time, TO MOVE HIM! LOL Hey, it can hurt to put it out there to him. :D

There ya go!!!:beerbang: Something like that has to happen. Right now Johnson moves through the field with the complete confidence that he'll be raced clean, and fair, no matter who he's around. His confidence has to come down a notch or 2, to break his focus. Now i'm not saying we need to punt him at Atlanta, but maybe cave his right front fender in.. and get him thinking a bit harder about who's around him.

Everyone remember the spring race at Martinsville last year? Johnson moved Hamlin for the win. After the race everyone was talking about what a "jerk" he was for doing it. He will be disliked no matter what he does I think. lol

With Nascar reffing, racing Johnson is like playing touch football so don't look for anyone to tackle him anytime soon.

I can think of only one driver who could intentionally take of the #48 and get away with it as it would boost ratings.

As for Martinsville contenders, I'd say #2, #17, #18 and of course the 48.

Very well put, 2 hand touch in a tackle football game....maybe the 88 WILL get him!!LOL
I'd have to throw the 24 in there for a shot at Martinsville (as much as I hate to admit it.). Ofcourse track position is so important here, which means qualifying is at a premium for pit selection. Folks make up so many spots here on pit road with a good pit.

Johnson, Hamlin and Gordon have all done very well on that track. I am taking Paul Menard. :beerbang:

My only prediction is that it will be a great race. Martinsville is my favorite track. I've been to several races there and it's always been awesome. I even took my son there for his first race.

I can understand why some people don't like it. There is a pretty good amount of cautions and the speeds don't come close to approaching those of the much larger tracks. But, I just love to see a track where driver skill is so important and a little beatin' and bangin' is a good thing and much safer than it is at places like Atlanta (Carl and Brad please take note). Aerodynamics play as little a part there as they do anywhere on the circuit, so a damaged fender or two makes little difference and even adds a little character. :)

I posted in this thread and didn't post any prediction! lol

I LOVE Martinsville. This will be the first spring race in two years that I haven't been to! (But my tickets are already reserved for the fall :growl: )

The safe bets for Martinsville are 48, 11, 24

I would not count the 5 out either. Mark was looking strong at Bristol when his wreck happened.

Gordon is going to show Johnson how to drive martinsville. Gordon a winner.

Thats crazy funny. Maybe I was just in a mood when I read it, but I was LMAO bigtime.I like the way you think.

Since I watched only the last ten laps at Bristol, which just kinda blew me away watchin the 48 win another one, I will watch even less of Martinsville.

And yea, I think the 48 will do it again, as depressing as that is. I will not waste my time on anything more than highlites on this one. SnoozeFest all the way.

Jimmies gonna run in all 3 races and lead every lap of all 3

Which 3 are we talking about? Last time I checked the nationwide series didn't run at Martinsville. just trucks, and cup.
Maybe Jimmie will break an axle again!!!

I actually like Jeff Gordon to win. He has almost always done very well there.

It's a different kind of racing than what the newer guys are used to, I think that favors veterans like Mark Martin, Tony Stewart and, yes, even Dale Jr. It's been a long time since Jr has visited victory lane but I wouldn't be very surprised if he was there Sunday.

Also, it would be fitting if Mark Martin was the winner of the grandfather clock. Don't ya think? ;)
