Just saw that on CNN a few minutes ago. That's a shame. 
Obviously her heyday was before my time, but man, I used to watch The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Dick Van Dyke on Nick at Nite all the time when I was a little kid. Obviously I had no idea what was going on - I just thought she was pretty.
I just recently saw that documentary series that CNN did about the '70s, and her show was one of the ones that was featured. Being young and not knowing her story, I didn't realize how much of a pioneer she was as a television actress.
