Judging the comments he just made during the prerace ceremonies he may not be. Sounds as though he was not happy being the Senior Driver after Mark leaves and he was not consulted on who should replace him.

"I learned that Jack signed Jamie on Nascar.com"

"Who knows we may or may not be teamates. My contact is up in 2006 and he is not slated to start until 2007"


Matt just threw himself into the windmill.
 
Kenseth has had a stick up his *&^% all year and needs to clean up his driving as well as his attitude. McMurray could stand to grow up a bit.

I'll wager a weeks pay, however, that the media is making up more scenarios right now than Kenseth could through that stick at. They'll have him driving the #15, #40, #41#, 42 and the #2 by the end of the race.
 
I think Kenseth has the Roush junk cars. The 97, 16, and 99 all are performing well this year. Someone has to be given the cheap equipment of the bunch. I hope he moves on to a new team, like DEI.

Oh I think Matt has had good equipment. He has the exact same team he had for his Championship year. Matt has had a year and a half of races where luck did not fall in his favor........surely you all remember the incredible luck he had in 2003 where he had flats in turn 3 (just in time for him to pit before losing it in the wall), or running out of gas in turn 3 to get to pit road and stay on the lead lap!! :) Luck plays so much into a good or bad season. Also, the competition level is up at an even higher level than when Matt was running for his Title........there wasn't a Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards or a Brian Vickers and Gregg Biffle coming into their own back then. I'm pretty sure Matt is safe with Roush for a contract renewal. But I'm also sure Matt would like for Jack to tell him so officially.

I could not believe that he said "Jack did not ask me who I wanted to drive" NEWSFLASH you are not the owner of the team nor do you pay the sponsers or bills!!! And like was mentioned earlier exactly what has Kenseth done since winning in 2003?? ZIPPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well that's OK. The Biff will save the team for Jack. And, Kurt and Carl will be just behind him. Jamie and Matt could well be R&D teams.
 
I see Kenseth going to another team. he is the worst driver for Roush Racing this season with no wins, i see Kenesth and DeWalt going to a team like DEI or Hendricks in 2007, one of the top teams in series
 
I don't see Matt as having anything to take to the table to one of those teams. He's with one of the best teams now and he's being continually out run by a rookie team mate.
I'm just wondering why Matt thinks "he's" the senior driver at Rousch when Mark leaves?
Technically speaking, Greg Biffle should be, he's been employed by Rousch Racing longer than Matt plus he's won Jack 2 other Championships and a couple ROY titles and is in strong contention for this years Championship.

I would hope the owner would like input from his team. You gotta get along with your teammates to have a strong team.
 
i dont like matt and i hope he leaves roush and drives for a sucking team like the wood bros
 
It's not secret that both Matt and Robby historically are Chevy guys. If Matt does bolt, I'd bet that whatever team he goes to have bowties. :)
 
abg dei might suck this year but next year truex jr. and dale jr. will finsh 1 and 2 in the points championship
 
When are the mods going to do something about all the snot fights on here lately?

It's like an 8th grade temper tantrum.

Really tho it is funny to read some of the crap these kids write.
1 & 2 in points...hell, I'll take that bet. I'll take the field against any 2 drivers in an exacta. Especially those 2. :rolleyes:

What the heck is going on here. I have been away from the forum for a while and come back and see ....... this has always been a nice bunch except for an occasional troblemaker. And since I am back I would like to complement the moderators for keeping this a good forum. And if any of the moderators or old time posters are interested in where I have been I would be happy to explain in a PM. :)

Yes but the way he came across during the interview was a scolding to Jack for not consulting with him and he should definitely been consulted with when in reality you would hope the car owner would ask his curent drivers but guess what when the sun sets and the bills are paid it is the car owner that gets to make the desicsion and Matt needs to realize that
 
It came off like he had a problem with Jamie. Sounding off like that is out of character for Matt, no doubt he's frustrated with the way this season has gone. Hopefully he's not going anywhere. The 17 is one of my favrite rides.

Rumor from Jayski.com is that Matt will be soon leave Roush to join DEI, I hope this one comes true.

Well his nickname before coming up was Matt the Brat. Was that a name of endearment or was it one he honestly earned?
 
I've never heard Matt whine about anything, if his name is Matt the Brat it does give the impresion that this is his personality though.

Maybe he usually confines his whining to his team, and it doesn't spill over to the media.
 
They need to keep martin in busch a few more years, and put an "{older" driver in the 15 next year. I dont like Matt Or Martin, but Martin has a lot he needs to learn b4 moving up.
 
Maybe if Kenseth was a spoiled rich kid who thinks that every race track in the world was built specially for him, swung his fists at anyone who happens to be in sight, yapped about his daddy after a race, bitched about his crew and blamed every mistake he makes on someone else, he'd be more popular.
