Didn't see a thread for this race it's tomorrow night. Looks like Dixon has a pretty solid lead but Catroneves still has an outside chance.

EJ Viso will not run and he is being replaced by Munoz. There are rumors Viso family is in serious legal trouble back in Venezuela and his career might be put on hold. Jr Hildebrand is back this weekend. Also Tagliani is replacing Dario this weekend. Should be an interesting race, not to mention Allmendinger is running once again.
 
Interesting field this weekend.

Hard to see Castroneves winning the title, but plenty of strange things have happened during the the recent finales.

Penske cars are all fast this weekend. 1-2-3 in qualifying before the 10-spot grid penalty for Helio.
 
Man I really wish Helio could've held on to the points lead when he had it & finally won this championship that's eluded him his entire career so far. Had thought about driving out to Southern CA to see this live but the gun show's this weekend here in Vegas, can't miss that...

I don't know why they have the various Brits announcing in America. The guy that does motorcycles drives me crazy, but most of the races are in Europe so I don't mind putting up with it, but dang, this is the second one today for me.
 
This is why I can't really commit to this type of racing. It's like a bunch of porcelain ballerinas racing around the track at 220.
But it does beat the hell out of watching Golf.
 
Great race and great season. Congrats to Scott Dixon. He was in quite a hole early in the year.
 
I was rooting for the dancefloor champ, but the outcome was worth it just to see Mrs. Dixon run back up pit lane.

Congratulations Scott and CGR. Looked like they were already done halfway through the season, but Honda worked their butts off and gave them the bullets to battle back.
 
I watched the race with some family and friends and didn't have a computer. Regardless, pretty good race. Munoz had a hard hit. Congrats to Dixon. Like Tex and FL said, Hondas looked completely awful early in the season and couldn't compete at all on ovals. Congrats to them and Chip Ganassi Racing.

I thought it was a pretty good race but Texas Motor Speedway doesn't like Indycars. I think the track contributed to the high rate of DNFs.

Good TV work, we could clearly see the cars moving around as they came off of turn 2 onto the back stretch, that must be unnerving in the car when they're trying to accelerate for the long straightaway. And those tar snakes were definitely responsible for some of the drivers' woes. Exciting to watch, but it was also a little bit scary. You can tell who isn't afraid to go wheel-to-wheel.

I'm all for breast cancer awareness, but the pink "green" flag was just stupid, like the pink penalty flags the NFL refs were using the week before last. Hopefully they'll correct that (as did the NFL) before next October.

Get well's sent for Justin Wilson, one of my favorite guys who just need a top ride to be a force. He suffered a broken pelvis when his car was T-boned by Tristan Vautier, towards the front of the tub, similar to the Zanardi-Carpentier crash at the Lausitzring in 2001. He's tough, having recovered from a fractured vertebra suffered at Mid-Ohio in 2011, and his brother Stefan tweeted that he's doing well considering the circumstances. And hopefully the guys at Dallara and IndyCar are looking into ways of making the cars even safer.
 
Didn't even realize this was on. Indycar is doing a ****** job of promoting their races.
