May 18, 1963: NASCAR returns to Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Va., for the first time since the inaugural race there in April 1958. Richard Petty wins the 300-lap Grand National race on the three-eighths mile track by more than a lap over Ned Jarrett. Jim Paschal is third in the field of 16.

Nick Alexander starts in his first race at the three-eighths mile track of Paducah Int. Raceway. Finished 4th in the heat race, but the Feature was cancled. The car was a 1993 Scoupe, #1a owner Aaron Hopkins.
