WASHINGTON (Dec. 22) - John Kerry and Joseph Lieberman have the most support among Democrats when asked about the field of likely 2004 candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination, a poll suggests.

But Hillary Rodham Clinton would lead if she were to enter the field.

Among the current field of likely candidates, Democrats put Sens. Kerry of Massachusetts and Lieberman of Connecticut at 16 percent followed by Rep. Dick Gephardt of Missouri at 10 percent, with others in single digits. Twenty-four percent said they were unsure.

In an expanded field that included Clinton, the New York senator was the choice of 30 percent of registered Democrats in a Time/CNN poll released Saturday. Clinton aides have said consistently that she does not plan to run in 2004.

Trailing Clinton with 13 percent each were Kerry and Lieberman with others in single digits.

Previous polls of Democrats had put Al Gore, the 2000 Democratic nominee, at the top among potential 2004 candidates. When Clinton was included in those early polls, she was not far behind. Gore announced last weekend he would not run in 2004.

Such early polls are largely a measure of the public's familiarity with potential candidates.

Among the field of likely candidates, Kerry has formed an exploratory committee, Vermont Gov. Howard Dean says he is running and others say they will announce their intentions soon.

In hypothetical matchups against President Bush, Lieberman trailed 54-40 and Kerry was behind 55-40, according to registered voters surveyed.

The telephone survey of 1,006 adults, 18 and older, was conducted Tuesday and Wednesday, and had an error margin of plus or minus 3 percentage points, larger for subgroups.

This thought scares me.

I don't believe Hilary will run in 2004.....she's too much of a political animal to attempt to unseat an incumbent (the odds are not in her favor). But watch out in 2008.........her purpose of running for Senate in the first place was setting up that run for President. But, I remember Bill Clinton promising the state of Arkansas that he would not run for President while Governor..........he kept that promise right up until about two weeks before he announced his candidacy!!:D So, you never know with people like that!!:)

OUR NEXT PRESIDENT:

Don't be fooled... again.

In the early 90's, Bill Clinton promised the state of Arkansas that he would not run for president without serving out his term as governor.

In the early 0's, Hillary Clinton promised the state of New York she would not run for president without serving out her term as Senator.

What's that song by "The Who"?
We Won't Get Fooled Again

The hell we won't. Hillary is our next president. End of story. I've been saying it since Bush beat Gore. That sealed her fate. How do I know this? Isn't Hillary despised? In the time of corporate greed bashing, wasn't it first-time commodity futures trader Hillary Rodham that turned $1,000 into $100,000?

Here's how and why:

1. She promised not to run in 2004:
... please

2. She'll wait and run in 2008:
... Too risky. What if a Democrat beats George W. in 2004? Then she'd have to run against an incumbent Democrat in 2008. No way.

3. She'll wait until 2012:
... nope. She'll be too ugly. That's right. Too ugly. Not to men, but to women. The men that are going to vote for Hillary don't care what she looks like. Women do.

Have you ever been hit by a girl? I have. My sister knocked my tooth out with a hockey stick. She didn't even get in trouble. My dad explained it to me. "That's just the way it is."

I knew I couldn't hit her back either. You don't hit girls. For any reason. Not even if they're changing your smile with a hockey stick. I've been struck by every girlfriend I've ever had. Usually it's right after I've said something funny. They all knew for a fact that I would just take it.

I know what you're going to say: "Men hit women all the time."

Yes, it's true. But never in public. Because these cowards know that guys like me would see it and grab the nearest hockey stick and knock their teeth out. And enjoy it.

What the hell does this have to do with Hillary being president?

I've learned a lot about women over the last 15 years, and the most important thing is this: Don't underestimate them. Women have been getting punched both literally and figuratively by men over the last 20,000 years and when it's time to punch back, they'll do it.

Whenever I hear a woman *****ing about government, I always say; "There are more registered female voters than male voters, so technically, it's your fault." All you females have to do is vote one way and there's not a damn thing men can co about it.

... Don't underestimate the desire of all women to have a female president. President Hillary. Get used to it.

Oh Canada as a national anthem...THAT'S what I'll get used to if that harpy wins.

Hillary will NOT under any circumstance get this woman's vote.

Well, wait a minute. I probably would vote for her if Adolf Hitler or Saddam Hussein or Osama Ben Laden were running for President.:p

I think more women have enough sense not to vote for Hillary than you would think. Just because the majority of women in the media think she is the second coming doesn't mean that real women think that. The media distorts poles and spreads propaganda to make women think that most other women think she is great. Why? Because America is a group of frontrunners. Many people will vote for who they think will win because then they can feel like they themselves won. The media knows this and they play it as much as they can.

could Hillary run for president.

My thought?? Better nail down anything that's loose, and lock up anything of value. After the exit of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue by the Clinton's and thier troops, things are still missing or turn up in unusual places. Some reportedly have turned up in a house in New York State.

Oh well, people like to say politicians are crooks and what better reason than some of the questionable dealings that came to the forefront during the last administration.

To recap, Clinton did little as president, was impeached, committed perjury, was personally involved in a scandal greater than Nixon's egregious act, and this while being proclaimed a popular president. All accomplished after taking an oath on the Bible to uphold the laws of this country. So much for integrity from a Rhodes Scholar who has trouble defining the word, "is".
Now he is trying to scam his way into the history books as a viable elected official. BAH !! HUMBUG !!! Is there no shame in his family?? This first family turned the White House into the "Clinton Hilton" for high paying contributors. And now rumors float about that Hillary might run for president !!
So what does this tell us about our society??? Is there something to be learned here?? And if we learned it, pass it on because there are some who didn't get the message.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if she ran. Unfortunatly, it also wouldn't surprise me if she won. It would be a very bad thing for our country, but it would not surprise me at all.
