Mayfield visiting Bristol to announce NASCAR-Toyota plans, but will be racing Late Model at Hickory

Jeremy Mayfield will visit Bristol Motor Speedway, but he'll be doing his racing this weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway.
Mayfield, dismissed as driver of the No. 19 Dodge two races ago by Evernham Motorsports, will be in Bristol for a Friday news conference where he's expected to announce that he'll drive a Toyota for Bill Davis Racing in 2007.
Sunday night, though, as the Nextel Cup circuit runs at Bristol, Mayfield is scheduled to compete in the PASS South Super Late Model series race in the Over the Mountain 150.
"I just want to race," Mayfield said. "I'm even going to have my brand-new Nextel Cup Series number on it for this weekend. I'm just real excited because Super Late Models are what I grew up with."
Hickory native Andy Houston, another former Cup driver, also is scheduled to compete. He was the 1994 track champion at the historic Hickory track.
