McMurray to EGR?

About the same as going to Yates I guess. It wasn't all that long ago Yates was a powerhouse team and I think the same is happening with RCR. If EGR switches to Toys, that leaves RCR basically alone and fighting a uphill battle.

A tough year and you're ready to throw them to the wolves. Last year the Roush cars were all very good as well as the RCR cars, but this year it's a bit different with other teams having better luck and knocking some who were in the top last year out. I can remember many times I though Dale Earnhardt was finished, but he would keep on coming back. I don't know what will happen to EGR, but I do think they are in it to the end, regardless. But I don't think that RCR is heading down hill. It's just a bump in the road.

No not ready to throw RCR to the wolves. Just looking that if EGR switches manufacturers RCR would be a stand alone Chevy team without the satellite, afiliated, associated, etc teams Hendrick has.
It will be very tough for them to compete competitively I think.

I really believe the testing ban has a lot to do with the performance of the teams mentioned.

McMurrey to EGR w/ Felix Sabates is a bad move. I guess Ganassi see's something in him that most of us don't, since it would be his second tour with Jamie.

I would love to see Elliott Sadler drive the #1 Bass Pro Shops Chevy in 2010.

Move AJ Allmendinger to the #19 and Elliott move to the #1 since he loves outdoors I think it would be awesome.

Sorenson has also driven for Chip before LOL.

Chip would choose McMurray over Sorenson though.

It will probily be neither of them lol.

I say it will be Dario Franchitti in the #1 HAHA.

There ain't no telling who will drive the #1.

I think they should find Travis Kvapil and put him in it.He showed alot of promise in a mediocre Yates car last year. The 1 is definitely a step up from the #28

lol what promise has Kvapil shown outside of the truck series? I mean honestly. They arent going to replace Truex with a guy who has been nothing short of awful his entire Cup career.

I'm still pissed he beat Busch at Daytona back in 07. McMurray is bad luck, period. He doe's much better at nailing hot babes than he ever has done driving a racecar, maybe he oughta quit driving & go work at Chippendales, that'd be something he would prolly be successful at...

That does sound pretty cool... and I can't see McMurray and/or Juan Pablo as the Bass Pro Shop type. But it's just a sponsor and money.

One question that must be asked is the question of sponsorship... Target is done after this year for Juan, and Bass Pro is signed on yet. Jamie McMurray is a marketable guy, with charisma... I guess. And he does have a couple, and I mean a couple of wins to speak of. And there aren't many people on the market.

I think that Travis Kvapil did good last year in his undersponsored beast; he ran consistentley in the top 20 and had a few top tens. But it was shameful, in my opinion, for the legendary 28 to be ran in a plain white scheme.

Why? Sadler is no better than McMurray, probably a little worse.

Looks like AJ will move into the #43 and RPM will go to a 3 Car Team in a Few Weeks.

HMM! Maybe Sorenson will be in the #1 when he gets released from the #43, and Truex can go ahead and move to MWR Early.

I've always liked Reed Sorenson, remember watching him in the #29 AC-Delco Chevrolet in ASA. But he's not Sprint Cup material. He ought to try to find a full-time ride in Nationwide or Trucks, he'll be much more successful there than he will be racing with third-tier Spitcup teams.

sadler is an out doors guy, BPS would match him right, and AJ is a technological guy for best buy.
AJ Allmendinger's a good driver, and it sucks to see his talent wasted in a Petty car. Maybe cutting down to three teams will make them more successful, I hope.

Yeah, I Agree.

AJ did a hell of a job last year with Red Bull Racing. I still think they are STUPID for releasing AJ. Scott Speed is sucking this year.

I know AJ was terriable in his Rookie Year as well but They still should of Kept AJ in the #84 since they really started to hit there strides.
