McMurray won't be driving the #40 at Martinsville

Boo, unfortunately, I think he made the right choice. He does have a commitment to the Busch series until the end of the year, and should keep that commitment. I understand that he had a difficult decision to make nascar vs. busch race (Martinsville vs. Memphis), but he did right. I look forward to seeing what he can do full time next year!:)

They'd wear his ass out at daVille. I'm sure it would be nice to be at the track after a big win like that but he'd get his butt handed to him on the track.

He has Busch duties, they shouldn't ship him back and forth all weekend. Let him focus on one race at a time.

Don't get me wrong...I'm not a member of the McMurray bandwagon by any means. I just thought it was exciting to see him win on Sunday. However, I would have preferred to see a veteran, like Mark Martin, win and shake up the points some more.

I think its time for my boy Harvick to start takin' names and kick some ass again. Go get em this weekend Kev!

He has a contract to run the busch race, so thats where he should be.

Be careful about not givin the kids their due on the shorties. They aren't that far removed from a couple of those a month.

There aren't many tracks left that really seperate the top dogs from the wanna-bees. Martinsville however is one of them. And even the big dogs get chewed up and spit out by the joint.

The Jeff sits atop the average finish list with a 7. In order since 93 it's been......8 11 33 11 3 7 3 1 1 4 8 2 3 1 4 5 12 9

14 out 18 in the top ten
11 out 18 in the top five
3 wins

Can anybody say "almost owns the place"? And look at how he did in his first few years. Not dynamic but he didn't get thrown to the wolves either. What I'm trying to say is what I said right at the start of this note. Be careful about not givin the kids their due.

Younger reflexes, learned in todays equipment, has shown coolness under pressure already and now displays his head is something other than a hat rack.

I think he would do OK at about any short track you put him on.

He might do OK but others will have problems. At short tracks, others problems become your problems. I'm with Bud-Stud, its about time to see Harvick actually do some good at Martinsville. Three chances to race, one crash, one penalty during race, then one parked racecar.

Who's driving the #40 this week, Mike Bliss? I guess we have to consider him a contendor at Martinsville now, don't we?

Whoever is in the 43 car field is a contender to win the race. It's short track racing, I don't know what anyone could ask for. It will be tough because teams who aren't regulars don't have the best equipment and this track takes a toll on every part of your car.

RPM, with Bliss in the 40, he does have the equipment. Maybe he can race just like McMurray did, but I think he'll have a much tougher challenge at Martinsville than at Lowe's.

Yes Ciggie,

No offense to McMurray, but Martinsville requires you to do more than hold the gas pedal down and steer the car where you want it to go. Mike Bliss will have his work cut out for him, but he's got some of the best equipment to do it in.
