McReynolds Penalized After Talladega Triumph

Wow! That's a pretty significant advantage, especially on those type tracks. That'll keep that pesky air away from the spoiler. Does anybody know what those guys get paid in a ARCA race? Is $6,000 a decent fine cause the 100 points seems like it must of been more than a little off.

The 100 points is meaningless because he is not running the full season.

I don't know much about Arca but I'd imagine $6,000 wouldn't be that big an issue but even less to a rich kid like BM.

The $6,000 will park most of the ARCA guys who run on small budgets. But for the superteams and the rich kids that come in for four races with millions of dollars behind them, or the Ty Dillons who come in with Cup superteams behind them, it's nothing.

The payouts in ARCA are ****. Talladega has the highest payout but you're likely spending more to race than you would get to win... which is why Ty Dillon running the full season made no sense. Ty's a wheelman, but RC probably spent 20 times as much as half the field does combined to buy that championship.

Realistically, you can run in ARCA on $1 million a year and run competitively on $1.5-$2.5 million a year... well, that was the case before the superteams (Venturini, Cunningham, Eddie Sharp, RCR) took over.

True if they ever enforce any of it. In the last 2 decades I have seen everyone from front runners to field fillers envolved and only a very FEW times was anything actually enforced. I have seen officials all but quit and walk out of the garage when the powers that be in the big trailer over turn the infractions that officials found and simply look the other way. The bottom line is that Ron Drager knows he can not afford to run ANYBODY off. Just look at the car count for this weekend...the rulebook is nothing but scrap paper.

The only two time I recall Drager putting the foot down was with Scotty Neal at Winchester in the mid 90's and Thad Coleman (brother of Brad Coleman killed earlier that year in Atlanta) at Talladega in '98. Both where never seen in the ARCA garage again.
