Find someone to replace that air head on the 88's pit box. Find someone that can improve the car throughout a race. Find someone that has enough common sense to say "You know, if we stay out we'll be the last car on old tires. We couldn't pass anyone tonight unless they were spinning. We couldn't hold off any car unless they had 3 fenders missing. Let's pit and get 4 tires."

This is getting very old. There are jack men in the truck series that can make better calls than this. You're the boss, Junior works for you. It's not his say if he keeps him or not.

Congrats to Mark.

Ultimately, Junyer's the driver. If he wants to pit, he can come and pit.

I remember his dad telling his crew (after they only changed 2 tires), "I ain't leavin' 'til you give me four."

Junior needs a computer game to practice finding his pit box. Maybe they should put seven Hooter's girls on his pit crew to help him locate it... :D

I doubt Tony Jr made Dale slide through his pit, or spin out, or hit the wall.
And the very call to stay out on old tires at the end was the call that won the race for Mark.

And I don't think TonyJr made the crewman lose the tire which sent the car to the back.

Rick will make a change when he makes the decision, and when he has a plan in place. You don't just plug in a new man without some thought.

As you can see, the rumbling from his fans have begun, and if things don't change soon, it will get worse and I predict that he will begin to lose fans, or at the very least, some of his fans will begin to look at other drivers to root for. I still think that Jr's heart is not into it and I don't know why. Maybe he thinks that now that he's in a Hendrick car, he can just coast. One thing for sure, in a four car team, he's last in line. Not good for the most popular driver in the series.

Every other Hendrick driver has won a race. Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman, with Hendrick motors, have been close all year.

Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson have won twice.

Obviously it's not the car -- it's the driver.

Even Kesolowski has had a win and a top ten at Darlington with Hendricks power. I say boot out Jr if he cares not to perform and put Brad in and lets see how he can do. Oh and replace the other Jr, too.

EVERY Hendrick car finished in the top 10, except Junyer.

Hendrick dodnt get where he is being dumb...... There are many things that arent right in the 88 camp. I'm sure now with the 5 up to the 24's and 48's performance, Rick will be lookin hard at those guys now. Think there may be a big shakeup there before the season is done.......

"before the seasons done"? If I was Hendrick there would be a shake up now!

I'll say again what I said in a previous post, I don't think having Tony Jr on the box is helping Jr any.

Where do you start?

You can't just take Dale out of the car. Maybe a new spotter and crew chief are due. Tony took the crew chief Dale needs in Darian Grubb.

Jr discussed this on that Changing Gears program. How the two Tony's are family and you can't treat family as you would someone from outside. How you can't scream, cuss etc. I firmly believe Tony Jr isn't half the CC Tony Sr is, and Sr is a B+ at best.

But Jr has to man up too and admit he's screwed up on pit road in just about every race so far.

Agreed. There are many problems over there..... I just can't see Hendrick making a knee-jerk reaction. I think fans have been voicing their frustrations for some time now. But I believe with the 5 team being as competitive as it has this year has put an even bigger bulls eye on the 88. Something has to be done, and some toes are going to be stepped on. I just see it being a bit yet before a major change is made. I just hope that when it does, it doesnt affect the other 3 teams........ Would really be bad to start cc, and or personnel during the season, especially when those 3 teams already have 5 wins...........

Key point, Mark had a good car. Even when it wasn't up to par, they improved.

As far as sliding through the pits, and crew members losing tires......PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Even Junior says he doesn't practice.

Don't swap crew chiefs. Bring someone else in. There's 2 other racing series that can be pilfered. Eury Jr. sucks. After his Daddy went to be the manager at DEI, Junior has won 3 races. Performance is dropping like a rock more and more each year.

Even when TEJ was chief of the 8 car, TES still had input on it until 2004. 15 of his 18 wins came prior to 2005. Coincedence? I think not.

Junyer needs to give better feedback - not just ***** and whine.

The fact that TonyJr and Dale are so close in age and are family is good, and bad.

Good, in the fact that they can cuss each other out without hard feelings.

Bad, because Tony needs to be the assertive leader and Dale views him more as his cousin than his team leader. Pops could do the job because he had the upper hand as his uncle --- "senior management" so to speak.

Dale needs someone with a strong, assertive personality to tell him how the boar ate the cabbage.

And, yes, Dale needs to be more informative on the radio.

Are all of you crazy?? Lil'E is overachieving, if anything! He's a back marker with a much superior car than the others around him. Maybe Mikey should toss him a bone and bring him over to MWR...

:D

I like Jr. I'm a fan. But he's riding on his dad's rep and fame still. His fan base exists because of his dad. If he doesn't get his **** straight, he'll loose them, and wind up like mikey .... a forgotten also-ran.

Love it, and so true. I was tired of Jr. years ago. Maybe he can find out what Jeremy was taking and borrow some.
