Memphis Truck race

so, bending a frying pan and cutting a deck of cards in your mouth, earns you the job os calling the command?

heat index of 109? Temp of 90 something? Whas the track temp, 140?

*eek* <--- Goodyear

who wants to be goodyear right now? I see blowouts in the future from too high of tire temps and pressure buildups....

Memphis at 109 is feels like 120, I was in Memphis the summer of 06 with my car club for our annual car convention when it averaged 110 for the month of July, it was scorching hot even in the shade.

wow, 51% humidity. 93 degrees, HI 102....

That's still WAY too sticky for me...

Caution with five to go. Hopefully Brian Scott pulls this one out! :beerbang:

One driver leads just about every single lap. Talk about a pathetic race.

Time to turn on the IRL race on Versus.

You guys happen to see the pathetic attendance? They couldn't of had much more than 15,000 if that for this race. I'm thinking the Truck series isn't long for this world if this continues.

I live right outside of Memphis and would never even think of going to race in June. It is way too damn hot here in June and July. Plus the stands are in the sun the entire race and there was no breeze at all the last couple of days. My couch was just fine for that race. I honestly don't see how the drivers don't pass out when they race here in June.

Great track.... but the wrong time of year to be running there. You might as well run Vegas in July in the middle of the afternoon! Then add Phoenix the next week and follow up with Texas and Memphis. Then too add insult to injury go up to St. Louis and run at Gateway. You can promote this as the NASCAR "Hotter Than Hell" summer series.
