ESPN for the race

I really hate that Kenny Wallace won't have his sponsor on his car for Mexico or Canada. Life is just so unfair.

I wonder how fast the stands would empty in Mexico as Kenny drove around the track...

Not very, considering the teams are the ones who are not from the place where they are racing (except for Adrian Fernandez).

/Has family in Mexico City

Dude, work with me...deep down you know that's funny...

Besides why else would they not have the car with his sponsor on it?

It would be better if they had the federalies sponsoring the car.

Great! They've had a power outage and we've lost the feed of the race already. Good going ESPN. Oh..we're finally back. Patrick Carpentier is leading now.

In the pre-race ceremonies, not that I can play a bugle, but that guy was no Brandon Marsalis. Is that the way it's supposed to sound? All disjointed...
And the guy who sang the Mexican anthem, I couldn't understand a word he said. Not that the guy who sang the American anthem was much better.

The sterotypical Mexican music at every commercial break (and there has been many) is getting annoying

Missed the first half of the race...out of town. When I got home, there was the red flag and 40 laps left, so I did get to see the entire second half. During the race, I was writting the details to my pal in Australia and it was fun. I think that the next time Ambrose and Said will race against each other will probably be in Montreal. Now if Said does as he said that he would do, he'll tear up Marcos' car and if that does happen, I'd look for NASCAR to really slap a penalty on Said. But had Boris not say what he did, he would be able to make some sort of excuse, realistic or not.

Also, one thing that I've got to say is that Kyle Busch is quickly becoming one of the top charactors in NASCAR. You are going to either love him or hate him. Not much room in between. And to think that he has many, many years left for racing.

but NASCAR says they want the drivers to show their emotions.

While Boris wasn't my choice to test that policy, it certainly will be entertaining if/when he does.

NASCAR's been consistent this year so far. :idunno:

They made the same decisions at California and Martinsville to have a race in the rain.

Maybe they'll let Boris do it.

Say what you want about the Mexican fans but they are showing they have every bit of the fever that American fans are showing.

Announced attendance Sunday was 57,324 - a considerably lower figure than last year's 72,971.

:D
