Michael Waltrip to run partial schedule in 2010

Thank God!! There will be a lot less wrecks next year

I think if Michael was smart he'd put AJ Allmingdinger in the car.

Isn't he sound with RPM? I mean, he has a ride and sponsership and they are apperantley satisfied with him. Especially if there was a rumor they were gonna dump Elliot Sadler and give AJ his sponsorship.

I think Truex could do pretty well with MWR. I think that DEI and Ganassi have been lacking for a while and MWR is starting to rise. At least Reuty is.

agreed. Dinger will be in the stanley #19 and Martin Truex in the NAPA 25, 52, or 66 car.

Are you kidding me?

Nothing is solid at RPM, #1 he's 10 races short on sponsorship for this year. #2 RPM laid of several people yesterday. #3 Everyone left has taken across the board paycuts.

Does that sound "Sound" to you?

martin could do well at any team he goes thru.

Yup.
RPM lays off nine employees: Richard Petty Motorsports has laid off nine employees and reduced salaries throughout the organization, a byproduct of Chrysler's bankruptcy filing. A person familiar with the moves tells The Associated Press that RPM officials are anticipating significant cutbacks from Dodge. Chrysler is Dodge's parent company, and the automaker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month. Team co-owner Richard Petty has said the bankruptcy filing slowed the money flow from Dodge over the past few weeks. RPM fields cars for #9-Kasey Kahne, #19-Elliott Sadler, #43-Reed Sorenson and #44-AJ Allmendinger. The team has funded Allmendinger's car largely out of pocket all season.(Associated Press)(6-8-2009)

I will give Dinger his due, I thought he was a flash in the pan open wheeler who like some others did not belong in Cup. He has since proved me wrong and ran really well this year in a mid to end of the pack car. I am impressed, and I think he should move on to another team. His luck with the Petty ride will wear off , and he will be another truck has been, like Mike Skinner.

Hendrick should put Dinger in the 88 car! :beerbang:

Nobody should be put in the 88/25 car, it's is jinxed by the Spirit of Tim Richmond. He is jealous of anyone who drives his car, and wants no one to sit in it.

No, I'm not kidding you.

By "sound," I mean that the guy is getting good runs and decent finishes and it's obvious that his owners and sponsors are supporting him. Plus he has a contract. To say AJ should be in an MWR car is just random and "what the heck"-like.

the only thing is clear is that you want Martin at MWR and nothing else matters.
It's not just random and aw what the heck anymore than your desire to have Martin at MWR, there's nothing fact in this, it is random rumor and I was stating my opinion as to who I'd like to see replace Michael
His owners supports him by cutting his pay, he is NOT fully sponsored and if the sponsorship isn't extended his team will be shut down because Richard will not run him out of pocket. AJ does not have a solid contract, Elliot does however which is why he is driving and will be until his contracts run out

IMO AJ needs a solid ride in decent equipment and also in my opinion he would be the perfect team mate to David and Marcus.

Martin would be a far better fit at RCR or staying right where he is.

You know thats the first post ive read that and it does make sense lol. The man dont want anybody else winning in that car.

Untrue. I understoood it was a rumor. It was a rumor for a while. I don't "want" him there. Let me go back to what I originally said... I said he "could" do good.

Should of left Vickers in the #25 car, but I forgot he doesn't sell tshirts. He also doesn't miss his pit stops, wreck about three cars a week,he gives feedback and has a passion for the sport, but that stuff doesn't matter because it doesn't sell merchandise.

Vickers also doesn't win races or score decent finishes consistently. You might remember, Vickers had to wreck his own teammate to win a race.

BTW, welcome to the nuthouse.
