Michigan/Darlington Bonehead

Extremely disappointed Ryan didn't screw the cry baby into the ground.

"He races too hard" Baa waa waa waa

I was waiting for Ryan to deck him.

Ryan was about to whoop his skinny little arse -- and it would've been well deserved by Logano.

Joey, it's a RACE -- guess what they do in NASCAR races? They RACE for position! What a concept, racing in a race!

Lil' Joey's been bounced around by a few of the big boys lately.. it's gonna be a long learning curve for him.

My vote goes to the anthem "singer" and whoever hired him.

btw Joey gets the bonehead for his interview, not the on track incident. Joey lost control and wrecked him by accident. Joeys comments in the interview were completely stupid though and well worthy enough to get bonehead of the weekend for.

Joey was trying to say was not that people shouldn't race him hard but that racing someone hard in the first 50 laps when the guy is obviously faster is not necessary.

If you have Raceview and watch any driver trying to pass Ryan, you will understand what he is talking about.

I'm not saying that Ryan is wrong or shouldn't be racing that way I'm just saying I understood what Joey was trying to say.

I think it's well known around NASCAR that Newman has the widest car on the track.

Logano simply didn't choose his words very well and sounded like...well...a bonehead.

I didn't see who initiated the discussion, but I did catch Logano's quote. "I don't understand why he races everybody so hard all the time." That wins him the bonehead award easily. The problem is all too common among the current crop of drivers. Many seem to think the key to racing is having the most friends on the track who will just give you their spot.

Recent comments like Joey's today or Edwards' "he never gives me any room" justification for sending Keselowski into the catchfence don't cut it in my mind. If that's all you've got against somebody, you need to deal with it.

Man, I was hoping for something more along the lines of "I know you are but what am I?"
:D

I'm not getting into the name calling, it's just not worth my time.

But tell me why you think I'm stupid from what I said? Has Ryan ever wrecked anybody on accident? Yes he has. Has Ryan ever complained about how somebody else has raced him? Yes he has. So again, I ask, where did Joey do anything that Ryan himself hasn't done? Can you answer that without the name calling?

Let's keep the personal out of the discussion. You can make your point about the racers without calling other posters names.

Agree to disagree and move on.

The way he handled the interview. Most drivers admit they screwed up when they clearly lost control of the car but Joey never does. Him complaining that Newman raced him hard had nothing to do with his lapse of talent. As soon as that guy will start admitting he screwed up when he does then he won't have guys like Newman wanting to slap his teeth across the garage area.

The jerkoff thing was more meant as a friendly jab. Please don't take my shots personally.

Believe me I take nothing said on a public forum personal. But being a female the jerkoff comment did sting alittle.:p

Thanks for explaining your position. I have noticed that from time to time they all seem to run low on talent, on the track and in their interviews.

What do you expect? That is the status quo at JGR.

Sorry, I automatically assumed you were male. I guess that makes me the jerkoff.:D

I agree. It was dang painful to hold my hat over my heart during that mess. The Canadian anthem was spot on.

A couple weeks ago I was wondering, which is worse. Someone with a great voicing adding their own spin to the anthem, or someone just absolutely destroying it like that dude did yesterday....

That anthem that was "not" sung yesterday offended me the point of no return. I have emailed MIS and NASCAR about how poorly that impacts a sport that I love.

As I vet, I just could not believe what I was hearing and I can't carry a tune in a bucket.

After watching this again, I've gotta nominate Newman as well -- he should've just punched stickboy in the mouth and gotten it over with.

My vote still goes to Logano "why does he race everyone so hard" (um, it's a race)

Don't hold back...Tell us how you really feel:D

Since I missed the race( fell Asleep) about what lap did it happen on....

Some more Logano remarks.....

"I'm down there just hanging on and hanging on," Logano said. "I saved it three times before I'm like, 'I can't save this one, he should have given me room by now.'

"I will have to call and talk to him about it because I know I'm not the only one that complains about it."

Newman was not available for comment.

But Newman's wife, Krissie, said on Twitter: "Thanks Joey Logano, maybe I should go put my fire suit on!"

She was referring to a quote from Logano this year when, while complaining about Harvick's driving, he said Harvick's wife Delana "wears the fire suit in that family."

Sprint Cup director John Darby didn't make a big deal of the Newman-Logano incident. "There's been more pushing to get into a Wal-Mart," Darby said.

His own words 'saved it 3 times'. Well if he had half a brain he would have lifted for a instance and gathered it up. But this is widdle joey who can do no wrong, just ask those that raced against him on the tracks in Ct.

Exactly. Maybe if he was about to lose it, maybe it was him that should have backed off some.

I didn't see Newman flinch one inch from his line. I guess that's "hard racing".
