Will Jim Harbaugh leave Stanford for the Michigan job?
Remember, when Stanford hired Harbaugh, they went 1-11 the year before. That shows that he can build a program and because Michigan has a proud heritage, it would be easier to build there than at Stanford. Seems the most "experts" believe Jim will go with the NFLHarbaugh is going to the NFL. He can make a lot more money in the NFL and Michigan is not in a very good place right now. They are not getting back a lot of good players and the players they do have are Rich Rod's type of players that are really too small to compete in the Big 10.
I don't know who Michigan ends up with, I just hope they are better than Rich Rodriquez because it isn't nearly as much fun beating up on Michigan when they suck. You can't ruin their season by beating them if they've already ruined their own season. I also hope the new guy isn't too good though, of course.
i agree but going to michigan isn't bad moneywise. they're one of the few schools that can offer millions, has a great football tradition with first class fans and stadium. counting tv and radio shows income, along with other perks, i'd bet he would make more than some nfl coaches. you never know what's most important to people. andrew luck went back to stanford where i thought he would turn pro.Harbaugh is going to the NFL. not a bad choice. weak conference so he could make the playoffs his first year as head coach. doesn't have to move his family away from the area. oh yeah, $5M a year for 5 years. i hope he does well.Reports now have Harbaugh becoming the new coach at the 49ers. Good luck Jimmy.
LSU coach Les Miles expects to meet with Michigan about the Wolverines' head coaching job.
