I have a strong feeling were going to see our first 3 time winner this weekend.

Jimmie and Junior own this track so to say.. Joey has that win the last time here, Harvick isnt the best here but has a win and has been fast everywhere.

Now you have to know this is really what I think we'll see... but think it could be any of them.

Glad you brought this thread back so everybody can tell me who to pick in the fantasy league.

One of these guys any week: Johnson, Harvick, Keselowski, Gordon, Logano, Junior.

2nd chance guys would be: Stewart, Kenseth, Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch or Larson.

Happy picking.

Michigan is actually one of Jimmie's worst tracks, one of the few he's never won at.

But there's a first time for everything. The 48 makes it 3 out of 4 on Sunday and gets his first win in the Irish Hills.

Dale Jr keeps the momentum up and gets second win in two weeks. Jr Nation has a meltdown. That's my prediction.

I was thinking this as well. He will be up there, but there is something about Michigan where Jr. just excels at. Closer to being a plate track than anything else, I would suppose.

Last week I only got 1/5 correct but here is my Top 5 in this order:

Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Joey Logano
Brad Keslowski
Jimmie Johnson
Kevin Harvick

HM: Brian Vickers

Kurt Busch blows an engine.

Mght not ever have won... but Im pretty sure he's led a lot of laps here and just been victim of circumstance several times. I know the first race I ever watched he was going to win until he ran out of gas and Vickers got the win. He's better here than the stats would show.

Maybe, but it's kind of hard to say he's "owned" the track if he's never won there.

HMS's finishes at Michigan last year:

7th
17th
28th
36th
37th
38th
39th
40th

In comparison, Circle Sport had finishes of 11th and 32nd with Austin Dillon and Landon Cassill. :punkrocke

Didn't JJ blow up leading the race handing the win to Biffle? Maybe that was 2012, can't remember.

K'larson wins this week and kentucky in two weeks

I predict I'll see a darn great race today.

See ya.....

Newman beats Jr..........shouldn't have left him at the airport......thinking Austin will have a good day too.

Very few cautions. A handful of cars on the lead lap by the end. Fuel mileage race.

Will be interesting to see if there are tire problems again. Delana's wife blows another one, and you have to ask yourself about set up. Reliability will also be a factor here I would think. Should be interesting.

I was thinking the same way for Pocono, but it didn't exactly work out like I imagined.
Tons of short runs towards the end, killed him. Looks like he has a better short run, as seen in qualifying. Looking forward to this one.

i think for sure, it's just does a caution come out toward the end to spoil the suspense

My final prediction is that they will be at least twice as much bitching/moaning about the TV coverage as there will be actual race chatter.
