and qualifying doesn't even require a pitstop!

But look who's starting right behind him...The Kid.

Well, hopefully both drivers move up. But I'm only expecting one of them to move up inside the top 20. ;)

43 34 John Andretti Chevrolet Taco Bell 181.809 39.602 -1.470

From 43rd to 10th.

John Andretti's always been one of my favorite drivers, and I hate to even suggest a driver might be cheating, but something doesn't smell right here. Hopefully, I'm wrong though... it wouldn't be the first time.

What happened to Gordon? I missed quals :(
Is this an impound race?

Belt fell off somewhere on the track and he blew up during the first practice. It's not an impound so there are 2 more practices but he will start in the back

The winner at Michigan doesn't start outside the top 10 very often.

And the Chevy's seldom win there... I think two Chevy's have won in the past ten years and I still haven't decided whether a Chevy won last June or not but I am going anyway. :beerbang:

I'm going with a Toyota -- a yellow Toyota. I'll take the Wild Thing ftw. Give him a guitar if he does win. :lol2:

Dale Jr's win last year was Chevys 1st MIS win since 2001. Chevy has 17 wins since 1969 at MIS.

You don't got to look it up cause I already did!

I have been to every race since 1970 except for the first race in 1981 when my son was born.

And like I said, I am not sure a Chevy won last June as Dale passed the pace car under caution like three times. :eek2:

And im not sure the biff won one race as he held everyone up as he ran out of gas under the yellow. Did he keep a stedy speed? Nope. :)

Did I just read that Robby Gordon qualified 13th?

Yup! He had a tough time at the Baja though.

We are deeply disappointed with SCORE’s decision and reject their claims in the strongest possible terms. We plan an immediate appeal of this unjust decision. My win at Baja was made possible by the hard work of my team and the support of my fans and sponsors. I want to assure all of these people that I will do whatever it takes to rebut these charges, clear my name and have my first place finish restored.

WTF?

I didn't hear they took the win away. Man, that guy puts up with more **** then any other driver I can think of in any series.

Well when you are pretty much a slimeball that will try anything...you are going to put up with alot of crap....

Agreed. Robby Gordon asks for the crap that he gets.

Good starting position for Reutimann and Allmendinger. I hope they can stay in the front. Big WTF to John Andretti getting 10th, but it probably won't be long until he falls back.

They did today Andy. Actually the top 5 started outside the top 10. Go Gordon :p:D
