If you have some spare change, please donate to the American Red Cross. This appears as though this years' floods could be worse than 1993. In some cases, worse than 1929.

Also, keep these people in your thoughts and prayers. This is much more important than who won the latest NASCAR race.

Remember when donating to the Red Cross, if you want it to stay in a specific county, tell them exactly what county, otherwise it goes to National.
 
Ok, I gots to know. With the rioting and ransacking that went on in NOLA how come I'm not reading about that here. Don't you people know what to do when there is a flood. Hello, that 63 inch plasma isn't going to walk itself over to your house.
Also, where is the round the clock national coverage on this flooding. You really have to be looking for it to even hear anything about what is going on. Don't you people count for anything in the MSM's and Politico's eyes.
And, why aren't I hearing about how it's Bush's fault that there was flooding. If he can steer a Cat 5 hurricane to NOLA surely just making a little rain is child's play. But, no he gets a complete absolvement of his role in all this.

I guess we are more civilized:p It looks like that are going to be smart about a town called Gays mills. They are taking a vote to move the town 1.5 miles from where it is now.

This time, residents of this community have had it - they're ready to relocate.



Two floods in 10 months have taken this soggy, waterlogged village of 600 from a community willing to stick it out — how many 150-year floods can a place get hit with? — to a town with the feeling that, well, the Kickapoo River is going to keep overrunning its banks, so it’s time to get out.

“The ones who grew up here, they’re ready to relocate. They don’t want to leave Gays Mills, they just want to move Gays Mills,” said Pat Brockway, a member of the Village Board. “We’d all like to sit back in our chairs and watch the water go by and not worry about who’s going to get flooded.”

A meeting on the subject of relocating is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the village hall.

So you're saying Bush did this to get back at the gays. I can understand that. They haven't been among his strongest supporters. I guess he figured he had one last chance to really soak those **** ****ers before he left office.
He probably never even realized that because the town was named Gay that didn't mean it was mostly gays. But then his IQ has been a rallying cry for the left for a long time... :D
