Two days ago, Mikaela Shiffrin won the World Cup giant slalom at Kranjska Gora, tying Lindsey Vonn's (women's) world record 82 race wins.
The overall world record is currently at 86 wins and Mikaela is looking to beat this record as soon as this season.
Her first chance to come closer to 86 will be at tonight's slalom in Flachau where she is sitting in 2nd after the first run. The second run will start at 2:45 pm ET on Peacock.

Idk how well known that fact is but Lindsey Vonn was Mikaela's babysitter back in the day.

Lindsey got to ski the famous Kitzbühel downhill at night last week.

Mikaela has tied Ingemar Stenmark's world record in Stenmark's home country. Are was also the site of her first ever world cup victory and top it off she also secured the GS globe with this win. It all came together today
