Joe Gibbs Racing made the second major crew chief change of the Nextel Cup season on Monday when it replaced rookie chief Dave Rogers with Mike Ford.

Rogers will remain with Joe Gibbs Racing. Before becoming crew chief on Jason Leffler's No. 11 Chevrolet, he was race day engineer for Tony Stewart. He had served in that job for five seasons.

Ford, who resigned as Dale Jarrett's crew chief last month, joins a team that is mired in 36th in Nextel Cup points. Leffler will have make to make this weekend's Pocono 500 on speed. The team failed to qualify for the Coca-Cola 600 last month.

The move is Ford's third different team since 2003. He worked with Bill Elliott during his final full-time season with Evernham Motorsports before starting work with Jarrett in 2004.

Maybe Ford can turn the 11's season around before its too late.

Speaking of crew chiefs I wonder if Shane's been passing it around because his old man's not doing any better than Roundeau. His driver is still getting smoked.
Imagine how it must feel to go from Jeff Gordon type stats to Kyle Petty stats in only 1 year. Most drivers, or at least the ones that ever amount to anything, take longer to reach the bottom.
Come on Lil'E do something. It's not as much fun to kick you when you're down. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to kick you but at least make a frigging effort to outrun Bobby, I can't see over the counter to order lunch so I had to buy the restaurant, Hamilton Jr.

He cannot outrun Bobby if he does not have the equipment and chemistry.
