Mikey on trackside

You know, I like Mikey Waltrip, usually, but he really pissed me off for something he said on trackside last night...
He was talking about the "big one" He said something to the effect "shame on the person who causes the wreck, and shame on the ones that are caught up in the wreck." (no quote, just from memory). I really don't think that someone like Bobby Labonte chooses to be a victim of circumstance every frickin restrictor plate race. When he and Tony were caught up in the one at the infamous Datyona wreck last year, Tony was running like 5th, and Bobby about 27th. Bobby landed on Tony. Was it Tony's fault that Robbie Gordon got things going? That wasn't Tony's fault, nor Ward Burton's, nor Bobby's nor anyone else's except Robbies. It's the nature of the beast. Maybe when Mikey goes flipping down the back stretch in an accident that wasn't of his own making, he will change his tune. God forbid anyone else wrecks. I hate restrictor plate racing.

I agree RO, Mikey really made a fool of himself with that comment.

NOBODY wants to wreck...much less carry others with them.

It is my opinion that in general,Mikey is full of himself. At times I wish he would just shut up and let the others talk. This is most evident on NASCAR Inside Winston Cup. There are times when I think the other panelists would like to strangle him. Like I said , this is just my opinion.

I think Mikey does that to stay on the good side of na$car.

It might be a drivers fault that the bigone happens but if the drivers don't stay on the gas & take chances they'll end up last!

Isn't it racing were suppose to be seeing here?

It was a stupid comment, and Mikey is full of himself, but it was no more stupid or arrogant than most of the things he says, IMO.

Did you see the expression on his face when they were talking to Dale Jr. about how well he and Mikey draft together? He looked like he could burn a hole in Jr. with his intent stare. I'm starting to wonder if there isn't more competition there than meets the eye --at least, from Mikey's perspective. I guess that's good for the team, but it's starting to irritate me. I like him and all, but he's just this side of too annoying these days.

I agree. Mikey needs to be fortunate there are four races he can run good in. Just because he is always near the front and doesn't get caught in the big one, he thinks he can act all ****y. Well maybe the big one will be right at the beginning when he's still in the teens, then maybe he will say something different.

I caught it also.......of all the people to be complaining about wrecks...........he takes the cake!
