Being a vet myself, I was just wondering how many of you have served.

I spent 8 years in the United States Navy, from 1993 to 2001. I served aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) from 1994 to 1997. I spent my last four years at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, CA.

Not a large amount of service compared to some, but I learned a lot and enjoyed my time! I have many friends out there still serving today. I wish them all well, and thank them for their continued service!!!! :salute:

Thank you for serving, Jrs#1fan. :salute:

My dad was a Navy flier on a carrier out of Honolulu during WWII.

I think my son served on one of the ships in the Nimitz group for a short time before his discharge.

Welcome to the forum. :) :)

Thank your Father and son for their service!!!! :salute:

I am currently in the Air Force, I graduate tech school next week. Can't wait to get out of Texas, no offense to Texans. Texas is nicer than I thought it would be.

My dad is a Vietnam Vet, served in the army from 1969-1972.

Ma grandfather is a Korean War vet, served from 1950-1956.

1984-89 In the Netherlands, Army Military Police, It was more of a long vacation than anything. Luck of the draw I guess. Also thanks to all others who serves by choice. :waver:

Dang, you lucky dude. I saw Panama and Iraq. They both suck.

And MP, huh? Train at Ft. Mc? That would have put us there about the same era. All we had was Chemical warfare like me and you guys. (And the chickcorp...UGHH....UGHH.)

Thanks to all my fellow vets! And a hearty thanks to all who continue to serve! :salute:
