First Danica, now comes Milka. OK, so it's just ARCA. For now?

[Indy car driver] Milka Duno will make her stock car debut during the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards open test at Daytona International Speedway December 18, 19 and 20, 2009. Milka will participate in the test behind the wheel of Braun Racing's #90 Toyota. While no stranger to the Daytona Beach, FL-based track, this will be Milka's first opportunity to go around the 2.5-mile tri-oval in a metal-skinned stock car. Her #90 Camry will have less downforce than either the IndyCar Series cars she's driven the past three seasons, or the Rolex Series Daytona Prototypes that she competed in for the three seasons before that. With a second-place finish in 2007, Milka holds the record for the highest finish ever by a female driver in the 45-year history of the 24 Hours of Daytona at Daytona International Speedway. Starting with her four-win season in the American Le Mans Series in 2001 and continuing through her thee-win Rolex Series years, Milka has been offered opportunities to compete in stock cars and in the NASCAR Series virtually every season since.

GREAT stuff for ARCA. The 2010 Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona could be the highest rated ARCA race ever. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it got a higher rating than some of ESPN/ABC's Spitcup broadcasts.

Milka Duno testing in ARCA is a complete joke and a waste of everyone's time.

It's gotten worse, MUCH worse.

Amber and Angela Cope are testing at Daytona next week as well. :(

I get the feeling ARCA's gonna look like a joke after all is said and done. :(

I think you might be right. There will probably be a lot of crashed up cars too.;)

So who are you betting on to cause the big one?

Or how many big ones will we see?

:p

"The big one"?

You've never watched an ARCA race at Daytona, have you? I'm already dreading the hell that will be unleashed at Daytona. Daytona and Talladega, in ARCA, are damned death traps.

If anyone wants to know why I hate restrictor plate racing, go back and watch the 2009 ARCA Daytona 200 and you'll see why.

Dang Milka too now huh. She figured if Damnitka can do close fenders, so can I. Seems there's gonna be plenty of catfighting at Daytona this year along with the usual dogfights. I don't really care how any of them do, my only concern is if Jr can win either the damn 300 mile Nationwide race on Saturday or the damn 500 mile sunday Daytona show...

Its funny to me who some people automatically assume that when some women race, they will be the reason for big wrecks. Seems to me that for many years, there haven't been women racing and yet there has been plenty of big wrecks. Some even fatal. I'm not a fan of Duno, or for that matter the Cope twins, but all three of them have been racing for years and have competed against men all their lives. Its easy to find fault in them and call them losers, but take a look at the rest of the field. Its full of losers who are men, yet some people never find fault in that unless they are the main cause of a wreck. But heck, even when a winner causes a wreck, there is still plenty of fault found by those same people. I don't care who is racing as long as the action is good. As for ARCA and Daytona, its always a gamble but then again, so has NASCAR. If Duno causes a wreck, will it be any different than when Earnhardt the senior pulled that idiotic move that caused his death? Its racing and some people make it painfully obvious that they don't like women racing with men.

Got to agree with you on this one, Buck.

It seems that with all these women racing, it is automatically assumed that one of them is going to cause the big one.

I would not be surprised to see one of the bone-head guys try to assert his manliness with the babes and be the one to cause the wreck.

With Duno racing, there is a great chance of her causing one. She is horrible. In Indycar she is nothing but a dangerous, slow moving chicane out there. She causes problems for the other drivers and Im sure her driving in ARCA will not be any better.

She doesnt belong on a racetrack.

I remember hearing alot of drivers complaining about her cause she is like a loose missle out there all over the place.

While I will agree with you both that Milka is not your top notch driver, your opinion of her doesn't jive with IndyCar as they allow her to race. She qualifies for the races and if she was that much of a danger, the sanctioning body wouldn't let her race. If she is deemed to be too much of a danger in ARCA, they will not allow her to race. But seeing as how they allow so many bonehead drivers, she would have to be one of the very worst to be denied. I'll just keep an eye on her racing, as well as all the others and when its over, we can then discuss whether or not she should have been allowed to race.

Some Milka info.....

She has never finished on the lead lap in an Indy Car race. She has only finished 15 of 27 career races in the Indy Car Series. Her average finish is 19th in a series that generally starts a car count in the low 20's.

Here's a link to her stats..... Milka Duno Career Statistics

Remember at all times that this is ARCA we're talking about. They'll let any bonehead race as long as they can pay the entry fee.

She'll run too slow to cause the big one.:D

Ive always heard that if you want to know how she got into an indy car you gotta look at the source of the money funding her. I dont know all the names or locations, but the owners of citgo are from her country and all about her obviously.

Once again, she does qualify on speed and there are many who don't make it into the race.

Andy, you are right of course that ARCA does allow almost anyone into the races, but neither you or I would be allowed on the track because of our inexperience. She is neither the best, nor the worst driver out there, but I will concede that she is probably near the bottom. But there is always someone worse than everyone else at everything.

There's a chance she'll do better in ARCA than Indy because she'll not be in an open wheeled car. Even so she's (and her sponsors) are only do this because Danica is.

That argument is laughable considering the Indycar series only has 1 race you have to worry about qualifying. And she made the race by beating 2 one off teams that where off the pace by about 6 miles an hour.

I have seen her race and she's not that good. Maybe open wheels aren't her thing. Still, I don't think much will come of this.
