Announced yesterday was that the Minardi F1 group would be pitting their P203 chassis with the A23 chassis of an Arrows built car. The test will be done at Mungello on Sept. 16 with Jos the Boss Verstappen behind the wheel of both (maybe a hint as to who will be there next year). The Arrows chassis was very promising and very aero-efficient last year, but the development of a fine design never came when the team went bankrupt. The A23 took 2 points last year with 2 sixth place finishes by Frentzen, and was considered the "better of the backmarkers" over BAR, Minardi, and Sauber. The Minardi squad intends to fully understand their car better as well as find out what makes the A23 quick so as to give Minardi a boost for next year.
