In the AL you have:
Rays at Rangers
Tigers at Yankees
In the NL you have:
Diamondbacks at Brewers
Cardinals at Phillies
I'm not sure any of these series are extremely clear cut.
I think the Rangers win against the Rays, mostly because they are the better overall team. Their offense is much better and their pitching is a little better overall as well, in my opinion.
I'd love to see the Tigers beat the Yankees simply because I can't stand the evil empire. Both teams have good offenses and suspect starting pitching. Verlander is clearly better than anything the Yankees have and having him in a short 5 game series could be huge for the Tigers. Both have very good closers as well. I could pretty much see anything happening in this series.
Diamondbacks and Brewers could be interesting. The Brewers have a very good offense and some pretty good pitching as well. I think they win the series, but again I wouldn't be shocked either way.
Obviously the Phillies have the best pitching in the game right now. The Cardinals have some really good pitching and the best hitter in the game in Albert Pujols. The Phillies have some good hitters, but their offense is really inconsistent. I like the Phillies to win this one, but anything can happen in a short series.
What do you guys and gals think?
