Modifieds at Bristol

At the local track tonight, the announcer said that Kasey Kahne and another Cup driver (didn't catch who it was, maybe Ryan Newman) will be driving a modified car in the race before the truck race on Wednesday of Bristol week. A few years ago, Carl Edwards raced a modified at the Concord Speedway and won a heat during the North/South Shootout, so maybe he will find a ride as well. I can't wait to see those powerful cars at that track. Some are saying it will be a wreck fest, while others believe it will have some great racing. One thing for sure, Teddy Christopher will be doing his best to win the first outing for the mods at that track. But there will be 32 others who will be trying to do the same. (I believe that I read where the field will be 33 cars)

I can't wait we are getting really excited about coming down for this race. I hope the weather is good, would really stink to drive all that way for a wash out. I read where Kasey and Newman were definites for the race, they raced in the Modified Tour race up here at NHIS. I also heard that maybe Tony Stewart was looking to run a Mod too. He raced at Thompson a few years back and won the race I believe.
